I suck at sg too, but I can still give you some tips :^)- Don't bow at the beginning of the match, they'll just rod/run to regen before going in for melee.
- conserve ur fns. The fact you have a fns will force ur opponent to play defensively.
- If you're lower health than ur opponent, regen as much as you can before going in for melee.
- On the other hand, if you're around 9-10 hearts and ur opponent is lower, try melee rush him. This is because you won't regen once you reach 10 hearts, whilst ur opponent still does. Meaning the health difference will become smaller the more he regens.
- If you need to regen but ur opponent has you cornered, make it as obvious as possible you're trying to fns him. He'll be forced to play defensively since it's obvious you're trying to fns him, thus more time to regen.

You have to be Huahwi with the FNS, ive played MCSG for years and have gotten better at FNS1. Try not to look obvious when you FNS they will back off
2. Bow if your low but be smart and try to land every shot or a couple the Bow does 2-3 hearts
3. Rod for combos
4. Sword rush and FNS at the beginning
5. Gap when the other player is gapping or if your at 8+ hearts dont gap you have a better chance of winning
6. Be Defensive SG Kit is for being defensive thats why we have bows, rods and FNS
7. Dont always Sword Rush, depends on the player

Here's tips from ya boy jarecl, who has had close fights with Icehawk, Mahteus, and Prixy in SG.At the beginning, try to get an fns off quick, but don't yourself get fnsed. I normally rod the other person over and over again and either wait until they use both of their fnses or get an fns of right away.
Only bow when our opponent is low, on fire, or gappling. If you're good at bow and your opponent doesn't block his sword, then you can bow anytime, but the best time to bow is still while your opponent is gappling or on fire.
Only gapple if you are low and never when our opponent is gappling as you can shoot them or possibly crit then out.
Block your sword when our opponent is bowing. Don't just stand there with your sword is blocked, but move around. Jump sideways, unblock your sword quickly, and block it again when you land.
If you're good at fns and your opponent says no fns, don't agree with him because the fns is game changing and what makes SG special. I got killed by Tyguy95 because he asked me for no fns after I killed him in sg.
Don't miss your rods, because if you do you might get fns'd or hit

you basically dont attack before your opponent has used his fns charges. you also gap when you're at 4 hearts, if u had more hp you'd waste your gap and if u had less the chances of you dropping would be higher than u might think.Posted on 25 February 2017 - 12:52 AM
Since the SG kit is more of a strategic kit, practice more fns and rodding. Compared to buhc its a little less aggressive.Posted on 25 February 2017 - 12:59 AM
Rodspam when youre low.Eat ur gap after your opponent eats it. (Dont if youre higher than 5) (if its a small map eat it)
dont get fnsed keep rodding dont fight when your opponent has a fns charge
