To quote the steam page I can no longer find"You people could've used 8 year old as an insult. Or even 10 year old. 8-10 year olds are actually little kids (Sorry to anyone that is 10 and offended). But nope. You decide to use 12 year old. Which means an early/pre teen.
Now, I know some 12 year olds (Some, not all, some) are "squeakers" and they rage whenever they die on games like cod, cs:go, halo, etc. But just because you see a few 12 year olds that rages in a game and calls people hackers for killing them, doesn't mean all 12 year olds do that.
If they do those things, and they say they are 12, they are probably 9-10 and just saying that they're 12 to make them look tough. Or maybe they really are 12 but maybe they just turned 12 and they haven't gotten more mature yet.
I know, some 12 year olds have squeaky voices (I'm one of the unlucky ones that have it but I do not mic chat.). But believe it or not, some 13-14 year olds have kind of squeaky voices too (Some, not all. Like I said about some 12 year olds being squeakers)
And some people who make fun of 12 year olds also make fun of people that say that there's nothing wrong with being 12
For example, They think that they say "durrrr hurrrr ♥♥♥ yu I am 12 and dis iz so offensive 12 yr olds r ppl 2 n sum of dem r muture"
Maybe some 12 year olds will type like that (not exactly), but maybe it's because they just turned 12 and haven't matured yet.
And to the people who enjoys making life harder for 12 year olds, you were once 12 before and EVERYONE will have to be 12 at some time in life.
And before you say "You're still a kid", I know that. But some people who make fun of 12 year olds are 14-17. And they are kids too. You're a kid until you're 18."
Also I would like to quote Urban dictionary with the following definition.
"The main point of insult on the Internet. Due to the stereotypical immaturity of a 12-year-old, most trolls and idiots on the internet are commonly attacked and named 12 year olds. Most people judge someone's 12-ness on the amount of 'ZOMG's in a sentence, their amusement at an overused meme or a bad word. They are also supposedly supposed to enjoy joining in with the 'grown-up' stuff such as rickrolling, chatroulette, omegle, and vandalising wikipedia, as well as more serious things such as boasting their feigned use of cannabis or 'weed' as most call it. Fortunately, this stereotype is not always correct, as some 12-year-olds are actually relatively intelligent. But that's another story…specifically for the nerd, boff, boffin, dork and geek definitions."

Well I'm 13 so I'd like to say I'm pretty mature for my age. Age doesn't necessarily mean maturity.There used to be a staff member who was 11, I believe, (Though I do not remember who) but they were/are more mature than most 12 and 13 year olds, and a decent amount of 14+ year olds
