I don't think it's horrible, but I also don't think it's amazing. I personally think that it's not really anything they can control, and just the whole point of downloading a client and using limited texture packs just doesn't feel like Minecraft. I don't feel like they need to change it much, because it's great for what it tries to do, but I think it will mainly be used in tournaments. Maybe I'll be wrong though, and it'll be used in regular ranked fights a lot too. Only time will tell.
