Lack of Mods
Posted on 13 March 2017 - 03:24 AM
Hello Badlion gods, how are you?I got something on my mind.
In AU (which is what I play on because I am Australian), I have noticed a great lack of active mods. NOT SAYING THERE ARE NONE, PoisonShadows is a great new mod who is very active and CinnamonConnie does her bit, and I am sure there are at least half a dozen of other AU mods that are active that I just do not see. So that is good but for the amount of toxicity and other mishaps that happen in Badlion (AU for this thread), I find the amount of mods insufficient.
I do have one way to improve this, which may not be a very popular opinion.
I believe that people who have suffered a ban in the past should be able to apply for mod and not be turned down straight away. (NOT ME, I UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE BEEN BANNED TOO MANY TIMES).
For example, if a player was banned in 2014 or 2015 and has shown good behaviour, a sense of kindness to the community, and has shown respect to all players (even ones they may lose against), I believe they should deserve a chance at becoming a mod.
I would not be suggesting this if the amount of mods was better for AU, but because it isn't in a very good state, I am trying to blurt out an idea in an attempt to find a way out of this dilemma.
Take it or leave it, I am just trying to do my bit as a Badlion player, give feedback.
This is a great server and I would like it to become even better.

P.S I know my name doesn't help when I am trying to make a serious thread…

Depends on the situation but I'm pretty sure this already happensPosted on 13 March 2017 - 03:45 AM
Really? I have seen this happen a lot.Last edited on 13 March 2017 - 08:53 AM by UVpickles
If someone applies for mod and has a ban from a long time ago, it usually isn't held against them like you think. There are plenty of mods who have been banned in 2015 or 2014 and were accepted because it was clear that they matured. And yes, there are not a lot of AU mods, and we usually urge people from AU ir SA to apply because of their rarity. So, if you want to, you really should apply.
