Currently many of the minigames are dead and lack competitiveness . Why? There are currently no reasons for people to play it. Whereas being a skilled UHC or Arena player rewards you for playing it as achieving good stats is relatively respectable in the community giving you recognition for your skill. In contrast, very few people look at mini games like Mini UHC, SG or Meetup to measure a players' skill. How to Revive these gamemodes
I believe there needs to be multiple incentives which will drive players to participate in these mini games. What's the point in trying to achieve something when there is little to no reward? For example, there would be little point working hard in order to get a good job if that didn't include a reward. This concept can apply to reviving mini games…
MiniUHC
-Non Donators receive ranked matches if they win a MiniUHC game
-Add new scenarios to make sure the game is constantly exciting
-Free time on premium
SG
-Old MCSG Maps ( I don't know why it is scummy adding old MCSG maps even if you give the map owner credit)
-Non Donators receive ranked matches if they win an SG game
-Free time on premium
UHC Meetup
-Non Donators receive ranked matches
-Randomised selection of scenarios ( too much timebomb played)
-Team of 2 games
-Mega UHC Meetup games
-Free premium time
Rewards system for UHC Meetup, SG, Skywars and Mini UHC
Like the proposed Arena 1v1 League, which includes seasons lasting 3 weeks, at the end of each season the players who come first place in each ladder receive a small cash prize. This could possibly be implemented for Mini Games ( excluding large team based gamemodes like CTF and CTW since you can't reward all the winning team)
UHC Meetup, Skywars, MiniUHC and SG league ( Prize only available to donators)
How will this work?
Each month there will be a mini-league for each gamemode. The Top 3 players for both Mini UHC, SG and Meetup will receive a small cash prize ( the owners can think of the actual cash prize )
What will this do?
As I explained before, in the real world ( and in the gaming community) incentives encourage people to work harder to get the reward. Do you think so many people would turn out to play a tournament on minecraft if there was no reward? In many cases people will go to bigger lengths to achieve a bigger prize. For example, more people would run a marathon if they were offered $1k for completing it rather than $10.
This will certainly revive Mini Games giving them a reason to play them. This being said, the competitiveness of these gamemodes will therefore increase, also making it more respectable to have better stats in these Mini Games.
Why should it only be open to donators
If there is an opportunity to be rewarded for your skill with cash prizes, it could also encourage regular players to donate to the server, meaning badlion will receive more revenue
In a way this is a positive feedback loop. Cash Prizes only available to donators will encourage regular players to donate too , meaning badlion will be able to invest more money in these prizes, resulting in a bigger incentive for players to donate.
Conclusion
I really don't see an issue with this. It will revive these dead Mini Games and will also encourage more people to donate to Badlion. I'll be happy to take constructive criticism in regards to this idea! Thank you.

Rewards are good except maybe the premium timePosted on 05 April 2017 - 06:43 AM
+1 It would be nice to have more people playing minigames.Posted on 05 April 2017 - 06:44 AM
Agreed, not only uhc and arena require skill and it would be nice to see a more competitive sg scene on badlion +1Posted on 05 April 2017 - 11:49 AM
+1 but i'd suggest that non ranks would also be able to win cash prizes but plus ranks would get 1.5x the prize and premium ranks would get 2x the prize
