Posting this in Arena PvP because a lot of people like to report people here to.

Hey! I bet you're a new user to the forums right? Before you make a thread saying that someone is cheating or have evidence that will lead to someone being muted. Read this.

1. Reporting Players

If you have a video evidence of someone cheating or doing something that warrants a ban/mute, please do not post it here. There is a subforum for that. https://www.badlion.net/forum/category/8 here you can create a thread claiming that you have caught a cheater. But you can't just create a thread saying "mODZ I CAGUHT A HAKER!!!!" At badlion they have a format. They use this format so they can keep reports organized. https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/76 here is the basic report format. But before you go there reporting willy nilly, here are some things you should and need to know. Don't report people saying "noob" or running. For running reports, use /report and an online mod will see it. As for people calling you a noob, don't report it.

DO'S:

- Record your evidence to cheating in 3rd person! We generally do not accept 1st person point of view videos, they are not concrete enough as evidence against someone cheating. To get into 3rd person mode type /spec (playername) to spectate a player.
- Include key times of when you think the hacking is most clear.
- Include the exact name of the player being reported.
- Please use default FOV, so it's easier to see the person hacking.

DON'TS:

- Don't falsify evidence. The one receiving the punishment will be you, and it will be a bad one.
- Don't report someone elses evidence evidence. Only yours counts
- Don't ask the staff ingame nor on Teamspeak to check your report out. Be patient.
- Don't report with evidence older than a few days to a week.
- Don't slow down evidence. We can do it ourselves, we can find the 0.25 speed button

2. Staff Abuse. and heed my warning Do not joke around staff abuse reports.

So you believe a staff member is abusing his or her power? Report it here! https://www.badlion.net/forum/category/8 (This subforum is where all reports go.) These reports can range from a host wrongly muting someone, to them false banning. These reports also go for arena, minigames and other staff members. But these are the basic player reports, they follow a format. https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/7673 here are some staff reports that have been taken care of. https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/163003 Not all reports are people talking about UHC host. If a player thinks a staff member has made an incorrect decision they can report them here, and keep in mind the staff members are only human. They can make mistakes. But all mods are assigned a manager and their manager deals with the report.

Staff Applications. Staff applications do not go on the forums.

If you are a player putting your staff application on the forums. Reconsider if you are fit for badlion. The badlion network isn't one of those servers that you put your application on the forums so people can +1 it. You need to email it to a specific email. Nothing really to explain. I was actually going to make a thread like this a long time ago but I never got around to it. I'm glad that you did so that the newer players know exactly what to do in those situations. :)
