One of the best things that Badlion has done to improve the player experience was to make UHC Meetup more dynamic. After the new update, I (as well as MANY other players) found UHC meetup to be a lot more fun. Some may think that it's more fun because there's more items, but I think we all know it's because we love cleaning up fights (IT'S SO SATISFYING). But I think what really made it successful was it was a gamemode that everybody was used to, and gave amateur players (like me) the experience of being a top player in a UHC. In addition, it required skills that we already had, which made it a whole lot of fun BECAUSE IT WAS COMFORTABLE.But recently, I was a little disappointed with the release of BP. Everyone knows that the most important thing a company can do is listen to its customers. Do you think we're going to pay to play on 1.8 for a 128tps server? When I play arena PVP, I want to play match after match within seconds of each other, I don't want to relaunch the client every time. I mean, I was so disappointed by the experience that I played it once and quit (so the last statement might have been changed), because there was no custom sky (EWWW). The only other time I played it was to try a premium UHC, which I thoroughly enjoyed (probably because the caves are insanely buffed and I mined full diamond in 16 minutes…), but then died in.
My suggestions? Don't rush the process of turning MC into an Esport. That's why CB is so popular even before it's release, because the devs listened to the community. For example, it's just the same tried and true game, but ensures that you can't cheat. They're not trying to push a whole bunch of new stuff on the community.
Badlion, please make a client that prevents cheating but is otherwise the EXACT SAME as the 1.7 that everybody loves, and the entire community will thank you!

1. Beta2. Yes, people will pay to play a 1.8 client with 1.7 pvp on 128tps servers.
3. The client relaunching every time is something being changed in the future

From my understanding, Premium is targeted at the more competitive players, and I'm 99% sure that most of the 1.8 players on BL open are casual players. Why would a casual player pay to play at 128 tps without cheaters? Ask any competitive player what version they would rather play on, 1.8 or 1.7. I already know that BP is optimized to have 1.7 PVP mechanics, but it's not true 1.7. If there was a survey saying "Would you rather BL premium be 1.7 or 1.8", and I am 100% certain that the majority will be 1.7. Yea I've heard many streamers complain that a lot of hits do not register while playing premium. I'm not even sure if they've actually properly fixed the tick delay bug which is present on 1.8Posted on 13 April 2017 - 07:42 PM

I completely understand your point, and I understand that they are trying to be innovative. I like the idea of premium, but I know there are some aspects that are not favorable. I guess my point was that some people will still want to play on 1.7, making BP not ideal. I know that 1.8 will probably be the future of pvp, but I don't think it's a good idea to force a massive change onto the community all at once, even if it is a good change. That's why I think it would be a good idea to start off slow, with just a anticheat for the tried-and-true 1.7, but then make more changes from there, allowing the community to adjust. This, in my mind, would be the best way forward.
On another note, I have a dumb question: why can't the devs just snag to 1.7 pvp mechanics code and put it into BP?

That's literally what has been done? It's just because it doesn't say 1.7.10 in the title bar that you guys think it's not. Everything that has been converted back is literally the old code from 1.7.10.

their CB is not release yet (been worked on for 2 years lol) , once it does you can compare as you like .
the reason why minehq should not be brought up is simple , we are on badlion , go try and speak of badlion premium in good way and see how long your post will last .
and last thing mentally (twitch streamer) canceled his contract with badlion to join minehq so it's quite sensitive subject , no hate to minehq but it's kinda scummy .

It is kinda unfair that people talk about CB like it the best thing ever but its still not out. I dont think people should campare each other until trying it, who know maybe cheaters find a way to easy bypass it and BAM the entire proyect falls apart (dont get me wrong if its what it promises it will be I´ll be the first one to use it) But keep in mind that you are comparing a BETA product to a product that isnt even out yet.Also with the last update BP its not soo bad, I had some mayor problems with ArenaPvP on the 128tps servers, but on badlion open the only think that keeping me from using it is the visual bug where water and lava places like half a secound late, I always end up loosing my water due to stuff like that where i get kinda confused.
