Badlion Premium Feedback | Huge Thread
Ok so I think we all know that Badlion premium hasn't been up to expectations at all so far.

We all know the MC community wont use anything if it isn't smooth and good for pvp,exactly like 1.7 or better. We will literally take the smallest problem and make it into a huge one because that's how this community always has been. Its actually noticeable and it annoys us while pvping.

Yes I know this is still a beta but if you guys really gonna respect the 1st may deadline you need to hurry up and make everything perfect.
There's only 15 days left and I doubt it will be ready until then so it may be better to not announce any deadline until its perfect and every feature that was promised since the first announcement is added.


So here are the issues.

1.8 PvP

Im really not sure about this since we may just get fooled by a number but PvP may still feel a bit like 1.8 .Every person I talked to said its a bit different even tho the hits are supposed to be reverted to 1.7(crosshair bug is fixed). https://twitter.com/BadlionNetwork/status/852103999939637248

Please take your time and carefully search for every possible reason 1.8 PvP on this client isn't exactly the same as 1.7. (it feels better than normal 1.8 tho)
Some clips from Nestor's premium uhc stream:

Client toggles issues/bugs.


1.7 and 1.8 options:
None of the 1.7/1.8 toggle options seem to work anymore and some of them are really confusing:

-1.7 Hearts are still 1.8(they 'flash' when you get hit)
-I cant figure out what "armor damage" is supposed to do. I tested it a few times and I don't see any difference between the 2 options.
-Blocking :Isn't this supposed to make the blockhitting look like 1.7/8?Now all it does is to not let you break blocks while blocking and this may sometimes cancel hits(??).Why would you want this in the first place?
-Bow punching: It took me a while to figure out what this actually does but its the exact same thing as the above but with the bow. Why would someone want that?
-Held items option doesn't do anything anymore.
-Sky: There is literally no difference between the 1.7 and 1.8 sky toggle ,or at least I cant see it. And about sky, custom sky MUST be added.Some of the packs are just pointless and boring without the fancy sky.

FOV: Still broken. You Have to turn speed FOVs down to 30 so it looks normal .Wasn't this supposed to be 3 separate FOVs for every speed level that are not affected by each other?


Aesthetics

1.8 items look really bad .
-Some of them don't have edges or they are half transparent.

-Some items have weird dots between the edge pixels. This is a thing on 1.7 too but its almost unnoticeable.(maybe this could be removed completely?)

Animations

-splash potions are mirrored when thrown

-I think blocking animations are slightly different than normal 1.7(+ breaking while blocking)

-The items are positioned a bit too high and a bit to the left in the hand

Lava and water.

Lava doesn't glitch anymore but it still doesn't place really often. The bucket turns empty in hand but when you throw it or place it again its lava.I think it happens more often when you try to place it through the player(??).

-They are delayed when you place them.This is really annoying especially when you MLG or try to water fast , so I end up getting confused and losing/missing the water.

Other issues

-Arrows are really glitchy now. You'll have to test it yourself .They just randomly switch their position after they land or they tp mid-air. Sometimes on your screen they look like you missed the target when you actually didn't , so you hear the "ding".

-1.8 border looks cool but you cant place blocks on it. I lost so many times just because of this.

-Idk if its just me but I find this red and blue eye position thing annoying https://gyazo.com/241c67fc0241f531f262527f42e9ad30 . And btw the blue thing helps you to see people if they are hiding behind blocks.

-The inventory shifts to the left/right when you get or lose potion effects and this is really annoying.

-Armor turns invisible if you hit someone wearing player heads

-Leather armor doesn't turn red when hit.



Premium UHCs

There has been a lot of confusion lately whether Premium UHCs are free or not. Even tho they were announced to be free a long time ago I think its normal for people to think they are not. Since they are called "Premium" UHCs , if I were a new or uninformed player I would think the Premium rank is a requirement to play them. So why not change the name to like "BAC UHCs" or something else?
-Teamers : Since games are automatic and they are not even on the main Badlion server , everybody can easily team without getting away with it. There is probably no way to program something that stops teamers so there should be AT LEAST 1 or 2 mods per UHC.

-Since there are no mods the chat can say and spam whatever they want. People that are banned/muted for whatever reason on open can just go on a premium UHC and spam stupid shit without any consequences.

-Games barely get 1/2 of the max players. You guys should find a solution to this but again its beta so less people are gonna play
Besides these , caving looks really fun and it should definitely be added as a scenario in normal UHCs.



GUI and Mods

The GUI doesn't look good at all so far. Instead of the ugly mods , why not add the mods that people are the most used to?
Edit : I'm not saying they should copy the code from those mods(I know they can't do that), but just make them look like we want.

- Mods look worse after you resize them. Maybe make it so they keep their aspect ratio? And also add a "return to default size" option.

- Maybe replace the green resize squares with something else. They don't look good imo.

- CPS mod updates really slow (only every second)
- Ping mod updates slow too

- The new search bar on texture pack is pretty much pointless since you still have to scroll to find them.

- The Badlion option buttons don't look good at all + there should be tabs for every section(mods , 1.7/8 options)

- Re-add F3+B .Its faster to toggle hitboxes , instead of going through the options.

128 TPS

This definitely needs more testing.
- Items looks really laggy when you drop them (like they skip ticks)
- Enchant glint animation is a few times faster than normal
- Swinging animation looks a bit slower than normal
- Rod seems slower than normal and it should be faster + the hook is kinda glitchy sometimes
- Your head still looks retarded when you're sitting(20 tps too)
- Its weird that you can see the player spin when someone does a quick 360 , but again this might be normal since you can see every move on 128 TPS
- Some combos on NoDebuff look like reach with 128 TPS .Everything is instant so I cant complain ; again this might be normal.
- Idk if this could be changed but since everything is so responsive , you can just get out of any combo by rodding ; its like a normal sword hit. I was literally sitting in a corner once and was just rodding someone and he couldn't even get close to me.

I didn't get to play this too much since my client crashes 9/10 of the times I try to join a 128 TPS game but ill just post here again if I find another issues.



Badlion Theme

What makes a client unique is a cool interface and theme.
One of the reason I'm more attracted to CheatBreaker is because their cool main screen theme ,interface and some really useful options.

-Remove all the useless buttons to make everything look cleaner and free some space , like 3D option , minecraft realms, snooper settings, super secret settings, skin custumization, broadcast settings,realms notifications, achievements, statistics , open to LAN ,etc..

I also don't like how you constantly have to use the launcher to switch between gamemodes(128 TPS arena, pugs, UHCs,open and other).
I think it would be much easier to have to start the game only one time and have all those options in game available from the main screen , but of course with a cleaner interface. No matter what option you pick, you wont have to restart the game every time you wanna play 128 TPS or switch from 20 to 128 TPS etc. For the Badlion server there should be an option on the server list to disable or enable BAC on Badlion, and if its enabled it should be shown near the server just like this https://gyazo.com/d204e4709aae1f0501cc9b565601671f (CB screenshots) .

I know this is kind of a big remake but it will feel so much more friendly to use and I think it will be worth it


CheatBreaker

I think this will actually be a big competition to Badlion once its released. At this moment it looks so much more promising and I would honestly use it instead.
1. The client side anti cheat is FREE to use on ANY server that has it enabled and of course this will attract a lot more players.
I know the anticheat is free too on Badlion but the option to queue up with a legit player will only available to premium ranks(as said in the announcement)
2. It has Optifine. I wont talk about how it boosts your fps since I know this is being worked on , but a big concern people have is that they cannot see Optifine capes that they/other players paid for.Maybe this isn't a big deal but lets not forget 80% of people that downloaded Minecraft, downloaded Optifine too and there are A LOT of capes in game.
3. It has a much cleaner interface and nice theme (hopefully being changed on Badlion too)
4. PvP is 1.7 (hopefully PvP here will be completely identical)
5. You can use any pack. I know this will be changed here too but from what I heard , it will take a long time to make. Ass sooner it gets added , the more people will start using the client instead.

With this being said , Badlion should try to eliminate all the alternatives and make people have no excuse to use it(like "it drops my fps","its ugly" etc..)and make this client perfect to surprise anyone's expectations.


This community is mainly influenced by streamers/youtubers , so if they say something is good , their followers will say its good too.
Before the full release you guys should get the famous people that actively promote your server and really prove them this whole wait/ failures were worth it.You should also ask them for any feature they like to be added for the client to be perfect because they are the people that will make your client more and more popular.
And please don't even talk about how ESL will promote and bring so much more players to Badlion. This is true ,but you first have to make the current PvP community prefer the client over something else.

I really respect how much dedication the owners/devs have for this community and hopefully their work will pay off. We really want you to prove us this client was worth the wait after all the deadlines and failures.

I spent a LONG time writing this so PLEASE upvote , get this to trending and tell me what you think :D

Cheatbreaker is not free for all servers. They will partner with other servers but it costs the servers money. Badlion will get sued if they use Optifine because it's someone else's code. When cheatbreaker comes out, there is a chance that they will get sued (depending on if the developer of optifine will sue them and if the developer can find absolute proof that they used Optifine code) looking at their website, it looks like cheatbreaker uses Optifine without even giving credit to them.

Yes it will prob cost the server money but the players will be able to use it for free on that server. And yeah I think its pretty scummy too if they dont have permision from optifine and they didnt even credit them.

I just want to start off by saying thanks for this huge feedback thread. Wish there was an @ everyone tag on our forums because this thread is a prime example of what feedback on Badlion should be. A very well thought out, non-rage induced, detailed thread with video clips to support areas that are not easy to describe with words.

I am going to add some comments in bold below. As far as deadlines and release dates nothing at this point is changing from May 1. While the product might not be 100% it is 90% of the way there in terms of feature/gameplay. Still like you mentioned there are 2 weeks until the release and a lot of the things in this thread can be addressed before May 1 or if not addressed within the month of May very easily. We cannot change the release date at this point in time since we have begun to accept payments from players their subscriptions were all setup to start on May 1 (we gave everyone the month of April for free for beta testing).

To be honest a lot of these client changes with Archybot and his decisions and I really don't know what was or was not decided.

First is a warning. Second is some programming. Third is some people to watch over games here and there. That being the case game rules might always have a chance of being broken and if caught doing so people will be punished extremely harshly in these UHC's for doing so. We have a spreadsheet keeping track of these punishments atm while we are working on some of the back-end things.

Once again the new mute system is being worked on. I believe Archy has a partial automated solution in the works and I have more of a manual system in the works. That being the case we will make punishments for Badlion Premium way more harsh than on Badlion Open.

- Mods look worse after you resize them. Maybe make it so they keep their aspect ratio? And also add a "return to default size" option.

Personally i believe that a lot of this feedback is just placebo/being used to something. This being the case it doesn't mean we aren't working on multiple formats for players to be able to toggle between. As far as the actual bugs/slow updating reported in here will have them adjusted.

128 TPS

This definitely needs more testing.
- Items looks really laggy when you drop them (like they skip ticks) Probably something we did not fix. Noted
- Enchant glint animation is a few times faster than normal Noted
- Swinging animation looks a bit slower than normal Noted
- Rod seems slower than normal and it should be faster + the hook is kinda glitchy sometimes Noted. I noticed this one myself when playing. Couldn't put my finger on it though
- Your head still looks retarded when you're sitting(20 tps too) Hey man, don't be mean to Steve :( Noted
- Its weird that you can see the player spin when someone does a quick 360 , but again this might be normal since you can see every move on 128 TPS Noted
- Some combos on NoDebuff look like reach with 128 TPS .Everything is instant so I cant complain ; again this might be normal. Not sure. We know there is a bug with BuildUHC not sure if it applies to NoDebuff as well. 128 TPS is going to feel a bit different than 20 tps (faster hit registrations/reactions).
- Idk if this could be changed but since everything is so responsive , you can just get out of any combo by rodding ; its like a normal sword hit. I was literally sitting in a corner once and was just rodding someone and he couldn't even get close to me.Yeah i think we need to adjust rod knockback and nerf it a bit. I noticed this with my limited gameplay as well.

I didn't get to play this too much since my client crashes 9/10 of the times I try to join a 128 TPS game but ill just post here again if I find another issues. Stability patch is coming out soon which fixes a lot of these problems



Badlion Theme

What makes a client unique is a cool interface and theme.
One of the reason I'm more attracted to CheatBreaker is because their cool main screen theme ,interface and some really useful options.

-Remove all the useless buttons to make everything look cleaner and free some space , like 3D option , minecraft realms, snooper settings, super secret settings, skin custumization, broadcast settings,realms notifications, achievements, statistics , open to LAN ,etc..This will not happen, but if anything they can be re-arranged. Our client is meant to be used anywhere and not just Badlion.

I also don't like how you constantly have to use the launcher to switch between gamemodes(128 TPS arena, pugs, UHCs,open and other).
I think it would be much easier to have to start the game only one time and have all those options in game available from the main screen , but of course with a cleaner interface. No matter what option you pick, you wont have to restart the game every time you wanna play 128 TPS or switch from 20 to 128 TPS etc. For the Badlion server there should be an option on the server list to disable or enable BAC on Badlion, and if its enabled it should be shown near the server just like this https://gyazo.com/d204e4709aae1f0501cc9b565601671f (CB screenshots). There is no reason for us to do this since BAC will only work on Badlion and it's automatic by using our client. I agree that we can make the queueing process better. The issue right now is anti-cheat protection needs some adjustments to make this possible. I can't promise this as a fix before May 1 but sometime during May we will most likely be able to get this cleaned up.

I know this is kind of a big remake but it will feel so much more friendly to use and I think it will be worth it


CheatBreaker

I think this will actually be a big competition to Badlion once its released. At this moment it looks so much more promising and I would honestly use it instead.
1. The client side anti cheat is FREE to use on ANY server that has it enabled and of course this will attract a lot more players.
I know the anticheat is free too on Badlion but the option to queue up with a legit player will only available to premium ranks(as said in the announcement) Something being offered as free but not being available anywhere is not free to use anywhere
2. It has Optifine. I wont talk about how it boosts your fps since I know this is being worked on , but a big concern people have is that they cannot see Optifine capes that they/other players paid for.Maybe this isn't a big deal but lets not forget 80% of people that downloaded Minecraft, downloaded Optifine too and there are A LOT of capes in game.Optifine if they choose to can submit a DMCA and shut down cheatbreaker (this is under the assumption that they do not have written permission to use it, this is also under the assumption that they are actually using Optifine. They might have just made their own version of it). They did not give us written permission to use it (we asked). We do things legally here at Badlion.
3. It has a much cleaner interface and nice theme (hopefully being changed on Badlion too) Our focus has been on the launcher/actual Badlion client and not the Minecraft side as much. That being the case we will be working on it this & next months.
4. PvP is 1.7 (hopefully PvP here will be completely identical)We specifically chose to build our new platform on a more modern version of Minecraft for the following reasons (1) It has newer features such as the UHC border and armor stands (2) 1.7 is only used on a handful of servers. This effectively limits CB down to almost no compatible servers as their client only works with 1.7 and the servers do not support 1.7 If you want to play on Hypixel with the Badlion Client you can. I appreciate all of the feedback above for the 1.7 vs 1.8 animation/gameplay stuff. It will all be investigated/worked on.
5. You can use any pack. I know this will be changed here too but from what I heard , it will take a long time to make. Ass sooner it gets added , the more people will start using the client instead.We chose to go with a whitelist approach for packs at the start to be safe. There are possible bypasses with just allowing any pack to be used. This being the case we are exploring those potential bypasses and working to see what we can do about them. If the problem were so simple to fix don't you think Mojang would have done it by now?

With this being said , Badlion should try to eliminate all the alternatives and make people have no excuse to use it(like "it drops my fps","its ugly" etc..)and make this client perfect to surprise anyone's expectations.


This community is mainly influenced by streamers/youtubers , so if they say something is good , their followers will say its good too.
Before the full release you guys should get the famous people that actively promote your server and really prove them this whole wait/ failures were worth it.You should also ask them for any feature they like to be added for the client to be perfect because they are the people that will make your client more and more popular.
And please don't even talk about how ESL will promote and bring so much more players to Badlion. This is true ,but you first have to make the current PvP community prefer the client over something else.

I really respect how much dedication the owners/devs have for this community and hopefully their work will pay off. We really want you to prove us this client was worth the wait after all the deadlines and failures.

I spent a LONG time writing this so PLEASE upvote , get this to trending and tell me what you think :D

This is a vanilla minecraft bug from 1.8 that I believe got fixed with optifine(the invisible sword borders from Zert x64 and other packs). I tested the packs on optifine and vanilla mc(+client). The sword is fixed on optifine , the pots from Amaranth are transparent on both OF and vanilla.

All the texture bugs are my bad. It are 1.7 packs and while testing I didn't think of that. Has something to do with transpatent pixles that got non transparent in 1.7 but in 1.8 invisible.
