Yeah it'd be kind of nice to be able to delete posts occasionally. I think the reason they don't have it is so if someone reports you for doing something bad on the forums, you can't just remove your post and pretend it didn't happen. But they should have it so the deleted posts just get hidden and mods can still see them, if it isn't like that already. The downside to this would be if, say, you prove someone wrong or something and then they just delete their post so you wasted your time. And they could also delete posts to make it look like you're posting a bunch of times in a row. Or, if they're arguing with you and saying offensive stuff, and you're saying stuff back to them, they could just delete all their posts and make it look like you're the only one arguing/flaming. You could still have the stuff they said in your quotes, but it wouldn't be as clear when posts are deleted as compared to when they go back and edit all their posts, since everyone can still see that they did that.Posted on 22 April 2017 - 09:52 AM

If you snip a post, a staff member will just end up deleting it anyways. Also, it helps keep a record for stupid crap that people do, just in case they apply for staff. It sounds stupid, but if someone acts immature on the forums recently, they won't get staff. Being able to delete posts will just end up making it harder for staff to do background checks. There isn't much of a point if you take these two points into consideration.-1
