Badlion Client Beta 0.9.8 Update

Hey everyone. It's only been 2 days but we already have another Badlion Client update! We are adding a bunch of features that did not quite make the 0.9.7 cut off time but were finished shortly after. In this update we have Friends, Support Tickets, more bug fixes, and other general clean ups.

We are reading the forums, twitter, and other feedback channels constantly. Please continue to give us constructive feedback/criticism and we will do our best to continue to polish this product to make it the best that we can. The more details you provide the better of a job we can do.

Badlion Friends are here! Add and remove friends to your friends list. This friends list will be used to invite players to your party which you can then use to duo queue in the PUG matchmaking service (planned for patch 1.1). We plan to add the ability to see what your friends are doing into this with a simple status system. Lastly you will also be able to message your friends on a live chat messenger (planned for a later patch). Many other things planned that will use the friends system but will save those until we get closer to releasing.

Other New Features

  • Support Service - Submit tickets and get help on various issues on the client. Get the fastest level of support we can offer, included with your Badlion Premium membership.

  • Thanks to the generous work of SoulzHD on compiling a huge list of gameplay mechanic issues with the Badlion Minecraft Client we have begun work on cleaning up a lot of misc issues making the 1.8 gameplay not feel exactly like 1.7 gameplay but somewhere in the middle. We are continuing to make an effort to improve the gameplay experience on Badlion Premium and intend to continue to fix/improve things over time.

    Minecraft Bug Fixes/Improvements

  • Fixed issue where you could hit players 2x faster ("Combo Bug") than normal on 128 TPS ArenaPvP League.
  • Fixed lava bucket desync.
  • Fixed water bucket desync.
  • Fixed 1.7 Fishing Rods feel more like 1.7 now.
  • Fixed Regen Animation to be at normal rate.
  • Fixed items dropping and the desync that would sometimes occur.
  • Fixed velocity applied to arrow on shot
  • Fixed bug with ability to collide with self on 128 clientside but not serverside
  • Fixed 128 TPS Rods feel more smooth/normal.
  • Fixed issue with resource pack not saving on client shut down all the time.
  • Changed inventory system to not shift left/right as often when gaining/losing potion effects.
  • Added held item to Armor Status Mod.
  • Added color codes to the Armor Status Mod to show how low an item's durability is.
  • Added different layout for Potion Status Mod and made it the default.
  • Added option to disable glint on all items added in 1.8.
  • Added option to return all mods to default positions/sizes in the bottom right corner.

  • Badlion Bug Fixes

  • Fixed the -4 error that some users were experiencing when trying to update their Minecraft version.
  • You can now properly rejoin BAC UHC's when you get disconnected.
  • Properly delete cache files for Badlion Minecraft client
  • The Badlion Client can now be maximized to fullscreen

  • Moved support link at bottom of client to point to new support center built into client.
  • Changed a bunch of colors/fonts/buttons etc to start making the client more consistent.

  • We are all still very hard at work here at Badlion to polish off the Badlion Client and Badlion Premium as much as possible before the full release on May 1. We are planning on pushing another big UI update with more Betterframe improvements and a few more stability things in the next week which will be 0.9.9. This is our last planned update during the beta period. Any other features/bug fixes will most likely be released on May 1st when the full release happens.

    Planned Changes for next Patches

  • Language Support
  • Full detailed match pages
  • Ability to queue up and not lose your spot in queue when browsing other parts of the Badlion Client
  • Rating Graphs for player progression (similar to our ArenaPvP 1v1 rating graphs)
  • More detailed information about queues and estimated matchmaking times
  • More Minecraft optimizations/performance improvements
  • More Bug Fixes
  • Better Debugging Tools

  • Known Issues

  • Some Minecraft mechanics need fixing still for 1.7 compatibility.

  • We will pull the servers offline for a few hours before the full release to wipe the tables and statistics. We will make a brief announcement about when this downtime will be when it gets closer.

As a reminder, all bug reports belong here: https://www.badlion.net/forum/category/108 Please provide as much information as possible so we can help you with your problem.

    Thanks!

They should open it to the public when it's done, require everyone to use the client and then the hacker problem goes away, Also it would be good to know the other guy I'm fighting isn't a script kiddy(the correct term for what we call "Hackers") and is actually good at pvp.

You kinda forget that having that stuff isn't free and having servers all around the world is expensive

The Badlion Client is open to the public and anyone can download and play with it. The UHC games integrated with the Badlion Client are also free to play and don't require a Premium rank to play in. Only ArenaPvP 1v1s and PUG games require a Premium rank!
