Overwatch (and rocket league/other similar games) didn't take many of our players, but it did take a bunch of streamers (that were way bigger then the streamers nowadays) away from MC that brought in new players flow which didn't stunt player population at the time but it did over time. (Dfield and other cube members[straw, bee, tcr, etc], vaecon, barcode, abby, more that I'm forgetting off the top of my head, etc) - all of these people would get 1k+ every stream they did and they almost exclusively played on BL.
Thought overwatch is probably one of the bottom three on the list for player lost.

dont remember seeing it above 7k anytime this season, it never hit 10k though im pretty sure, as soon as all the EU and NA arena pvp servers got merged into one and ELO got removed arena started going downhill very quick, from an average 3000-4000 players on a sunday night on EU arena down to around 1500(what it seems like) :/
