Was the whole ELO thing a teat or is it actually happening? Approximately 2358 people voted for ELO, and that's basically all of Badlion's player base now.

Yes you are correct. A lot of staff, testers, and players pointed out issues with the movement in the Badlion Client. This pushed us to rework some aspects of the movement to make it feel more natural on the client and this has been completed for the 1.0 release. These new changes are live, but I am sure that there are still areas in which we can improve on regarding gameplay. Have you tried out the most recent Badlion Client? Any feedback on it?

I played with BL client last night… Right now at this stage the experience with the client is simply un-enjoyable. The PVP feels like it's not 1.7 nor 1.8 and it is not smooth at all. The lack of customization in the client is atrocious. The client as a 1.8 client has failed to replicate the feel of real 1.7 pvp. Which is kind of sad because the mods folder I threw together in forge 1.8.9 almost completely replicates 1.7 feels PVP wise. Also, although with the implement of betterframes, which allows the client to have a lot more fps than before (at least it says it does, I have had small lag freezes here and there even when it says I have 999 fps), the client still lacks a lot of FPS customization. Which is kind of weird because, how did Chatbreaker get optifine's permission when the multi-million Badlion Incorporation can't?

Overall, I felt like you guys should've gone with a 1.7.10 client (that would've given the devs a lot more time wasted on trying to replicate the 1.7 feel and work on other parts of the client), I know archy said multiple times that "Badlion is the biggest pvp server and more ppl still use a 1.8 client rather than 1.7 client". That argument is invalid because BL failed to see that the reason A LOT of people use 1.8 over 1.7 is because of FPS . (Proof: https://twitter.com/archyb0t/status/860248216117407744) Now if we look at the pros and cons of both side. BL has a 1.8 (that tried to replicate the feel of 1.7 and its NOT good so far) client (boosts fps but very little customization) and Cheatbreaker is a 1.7 client (comes with full optifine from what I've seen and it doubles most of the users FPS).

One last thing, this is just from my point of view, but I believe that the reason that Cheatbreaker is seen a lot more popular compared to badlion client is because Badlion went the wrong route of marketing. From the beginning, Cheatbreaker advertises itself to be completely free - which it is - but in the future when it releases it will surely have perks and ranks and subscription that you can purchase that will enhance the gaming experience. While Badlion, in contrast, has given out the price chart for PLUS and PREMIUM rank subscription. There's nothing wrong with that, but it gives a lot of players the perception that Badlion client is not going to be free while Cheatbreaker established a good perception to the players that it'll be free. AND that is important, and that I believe is why people are misunderstood about the to what degree is the badlion client free for everyone. (and yes, I know the whole ngal and archy's argument on twitter about how ngal seems to be spreading rumors that BL client is not free. However, i trust ngal to be a virtuous person and I do believe that it was just a misunderstood from ngal's side).

Lastly. It is true that something can only thrive when there is competition. For too long, Badlion have not had a proper competition until this whole Cheatbreaker thing (and Ultra UHC server). I believe that is a good thing for Badlion.

Last Lastly, I know this post is very negative towards BL, but I do think BL has some exciting things at its hand - and if implemented properly will be a huge success - like Arena S15 (return of elo with tiers, MMR didn't turn out too well) The New Queuing system that will reduced the chance of you fighting a lagger - New game modes like TO2 meetups, etc.

I agree with most of what is stated above in terms of cleaning up the game play. We are still actively working on it but what people don't understand is that we only have one developer working on the Minecraft client at the moment. It takes time to improve upon what we have done and we spent a lot of time working on the 128 TPS gameplay which is something people do not take enough notice of since the mechanics are feeling a bit weird at the moment.
