At the moment Ultra is a competitor, every viable business or network should have competitors. Like Microsoft and Apple everyone will have their preference and both parties can operate simultaneously. Also Ultra and Badlion are very different, the only similarities that I can think of is UHC and mutual players.To say that Ultra will take over if GCheat doesn't get a big update is honestly dumb for a couple of reasons. 1) Ultra has an X-Rayer problem as well and from what I've seen the anti x-ray on Ultra isn't at the same level (yet) obviously with upcoming servers there will be improvements in anti-cheats and gameplay etc.
Really this should not be a case of this server is going to be the leader or whatever and as xNestorio said, the beef that people and all these Ultra/Badlion and the 2 client side anti-cheats dramas should not be an issue as ultimately both networks are trying to provide an experience with minimal cheaters and good gameplay.
Now whilst there may or may not be an increased percentage of the population cheating I don't know the numbers and to be honest, no one really could put the numbers on it, but I personally have not seen many people hardcore cheating and when I say hardcore, I mean LeafyGreenTea level from MCSG.
In any game an anti-cheat is to negate as much effect that a hacked client has and remove those who are detected cheating. Clients nowadays are so advanced that you can change things by a tenth of a block or other miniscule amounts. Creating a way of checking for such minor differences would be very hard especially in multiplayer games where there are many variables and vanilla ways to edit things i.e W tapping, rod crits and things like that.
I don't care what server it is, every server will have people trying to ruin the game for others.
For my own sake of understanding I use this analogy. Globally many people in history have plotted major crimes etc. most are blocked before they happen, but occasionally a major thing will happen that is noticed by everyone and damages the fact that 99.9% of large scale crimes or attacks are prevented or at least minimalized. The level of security globally is so high that it doesn't get talked about unless it is beaten or doesn't work perfectly. Minor things get through easier because ultimately we try to stop the biggest issues from happening and then worry about minor things. Much like those people who have reach increased by 0.1 blocks, it is so minimal that it is hard to stop as often there is no warning or detection of it happening, because of all the variables that can happen.
GCheat is the same in my non-code understanding interpretation. The most important is to stop people from using stupidly blatant things, then it focuses on getting those who are pretty obvious, but don't do it a whole lot. Then there is the people who have such minor gameplay differences that are hard to detect, but are possible to catch. Finally, there are the things that can't really be proven that could be attributed to other factors (what I call the "he said, she said" cheater)Like anything someone or something may find a way to be obvious, but pass all levels of security, but that doesn't happen a lot and only tends to happen when focus on something else is prominent (Like premium). Once they get back to improving GCheat at a fast rate those people being obvious and bhopping, but not being caught by GCheat will decrease.
