I use 4, but most masters have 6(4 poison, 2 slowness)

For vanilla use regeneration II pots as debuffs, but be careful with them. (I personally use 2 of them)Poison can also be helpful. I do not recommend slowness as it can only help people who use fishing rods. Weakness is completly useless imo.
