This is a thread about the SG 2.2 Update which I am hoping will be very soon, or at least a statistics and rating reset.
These ideas came from my mind and have been discussed with a few of my friends, though some of the ideas come from my good friend, @TheYoinkster77 .

I've had some of these thoughts for quite some time now, but never bothered to write about them. Now that a lot of them are in my head I believe it is time I finally tell you what I think.

Maps:
Some maps are absolutely fantastic, and I am extremely happy to play them. Others though, are not exactly nice to play on.
This can be fixed in two ways:
1. You can remove these maps. It is an option I like less than the second one, but it is the easier one.
2. Add more chests/better routes to these maps. Routes are a very big part of SG. Some of the maps seem to not have any good routes that you can go on.

I think the map routes are fine and balanced right now, once you play enough of a map its not really hard to find a chest route on it or even multiple.

Very big and open maps, as well as maps that have a lot of water on them are not enjoyable. Some of you may say that I am bitching about this, well… I am. But so are many others. The map that comes in to my mind when i think of big and filled with water is Holiday Resort. I hate it. It doesn't have that many good routes on it and the water kills the game. You could at least add boats?? That wouldn't be the worst thing.

+1 to boats, but there are actually so many routes on this map so I disagree with that point

Fix or if you don't think it is broken, edit the deathmatch on Hokuno V2. That map is amazing. God job Badlion Build Team.
The deathmatch is horrible though. It is such a closed place that it is basically up to who has the better gear to win. It is just clicking fast. My idea is that you either make it a bit bigger or remove the wooden pillars that you spawn next to/behind.

+1, that deathmatch is way too small in comparison to the others

It would be a lot better imo if the all the wood pillars were removed or the arena was just made larger.





Add more maps. The old ones. SG Adrenaline, Treachereous heights and such. Those maps were amazing and I think it could make some OG players play just for nostalgia. I know these maps are MCSG's maps and you don't have the right to just implement them. But at least try.

Only problem is that I'm pretty sure they don't use maps without permission from the creater the last I heard or that they don't have the tiered versions of the maps - don't quote me on this, but it would be nice to see some OG maps IF possible

Some maps are annoying to play because they are not played often so players don't know them well. Also, we don't really like them. Remove maps like Highfield Estate, Forestside, Hartstown, Berbub Settlement (or add a god dang crafting table, for the love of god), Jurrasic Park, and replace them with Adrenaline, Highway, Treacherous Heights, Teweran SG and some others that MCSG had or any other SG server. I am not trying to say that Badlions Build Team did a bad job. A bunch of maps you have made are amazing and look awesome. But these maps have been worked on and edited for years. New chests and routes often added or removed. They are classics.

Same point as above but I rather have a larger variety of maps being played than the same ones over and over which gets boring

That's all I have to say for maps. Just maps. More below.

Minigames on the website:
This was not my idea, but I do like it. All credit for this goes to _N00bWho_.
His idea is that on the website the minigames stats should be shown in one tab, instead of multple ones. It looks clean and neat. Example: https://gyazo.com/e5f792df052efc6b10d1e990ab93187c
Also, currently, on the website, you click on Stats, then SG Ratings or Statistics depending on what you want to look at. But wouldn't it be better if you had all the Minigames Statistics under one thing, and all the minigames ratings under one thing. Similar to ArenaPvP. You click on Minigames Statistics and it takes you to a page where you can choose from Sg, UHC Meetup Skywars, CTW and CTF. Then you can choose region, kills, wins etc. Do the same thing for ratings in Minigames. You can choose the gamemode, then the region and it shows you the top of the leaderboards. Of course for ratings, it wouldn't show CTF or CTW. It isn't very complicated and it would look a lot cleaner and nicer in my opinion.

I like the idea of this, having the leaderboard for the minigames similar to the arena leaderboard. And if this can't be done I'd like it so when you click https://www.badlion.net/ladder/sg-ratings or one of the other minigames statistics links, it takes you to the global leaderboard rather than the NA leaderboard as it does now. Also on your profile https://www.badlion.net/profile/user/_Link/survival-games it links you straight to your NA stats even if you're EU, its not really a big issue but it'd be nice if it took you to your highest rated of the 3 (EU, NA and SA)

Small bugs that should be fixed:
1. In tab, the wins are always at 0 and kills sometimes don't show up correctly.
2. this is probably being fixed, but the countdown disguise skins are sometimes not changed back until after the game ends.
3. Not really a bug, but often the rank and rating points take up to 2 hours to update. With that you don't know if you ranked up or not, and might even lose your rank when it has been updated. ( I heard in the past that this has to do with all the games that you played being over, but that doesn't even take 15 minutes, not to talk about 2 hours).
4. Minecraft sometimes crashes after a game ends or after you die.

More ideas that don't need much explanation:
1. Add SG teams and Solo back. I think it's nice to play with a friend casually and be able to play solo casually without worrying about teams( it is a part of the game I know…), also maybe add a Teams, Solo and both SG, i don't know about that one though.

Noooo we had this before and it was honestly bad imo.

2. Bring back the party queue. It was useful and just make it so that if I am in a party with someone, we click a button and it teleports us both to a SG lobby that has two available slots, from there on, the rest stays the same.

The wool system right now is great and I think it should be the same, but with that point I'd like it if people were in a party and the leader joined a minigame like SG etc, it would bring the WHOLE party rather than having your friends all having to click the same one. I tested this out earlier with a mod and it's not a thing unless I'm dumb. Also this needs to be removed


3. This is a rule that I think should be implemented due to the high levels of turk takims on SG. I have nothing against turkish people. They have every right to play the game as much as I do. But please learn the rules. Also, if I am in deathmatch with three turks, and two of them team, when i kill one of the team, the other two team again. This should not be allowed. Not only for turkish people of course. I think you should get one team per game, and if they die, you get one cross-team in deathmatch or before. I don't see that it is fair for them to team like that and I would not want to do that honestly. It is very annoying and should be a ban offense.

-1, it's always been a part of SG it wouldn't be right just to make this rule now.

That is all that I wanted to say, if you have more ideas and suggestions feel free to post them down below and I might edit them in. I would also like some support from the experienced players in the community like @NicoPr0 , @ManiacNiTRo, @chay_on9jai or anyone on the leaderboards really. Thank you for reading my post. Remove raffle voting. Like is there a reason for a map with 1 vote to win over a map with 20 votes? Lolno and also the way rating is gained and lost needs to be changed because of how easy it is to lose rating once you get high up. For example I was playing with my friend the other day, won 9 games lost 2 and I lost 400 points from that. To get a high rating on N.A. you need to be quite literally perfect and losing isn't an option so the rating gain/loss ratio needs to change a little bit lmao


If this were to happen, the same maps would be played over and over again and then we would have people complaining about maps not being played because people keep voting maps like SG4. The best way to counter this is just giving every map a chance.

I agree with you about Holiday Resort, honestly I was a bit tilted on the map when I made the post since I lost on it a few times that day. Also the rule about the teaming in deathmatch was an idea and I do understand that it has always been a part of SG, I am an OG player, but recently the numbers seemed to increase so I hope you see where I'm coming from. <3<3<3 Ty for the criticism

the main thing that should be changed is the fact that you don't regen hearts in the pre deathmatch. its so annoying
i think the maps are fine, maybe add some more og maps from mcsg
