Well the reason why people like cheatbreaker so much is because alot of twitch streamers and youtubers use it and put their positive thoughts into while NO ONE streams or plays on the badlion client. Also when badlion premium on client was first released it was a major disappointment to everyone.
thats because Premium opens a new instance of minecraft each time. This renders OBS as useless when streaming since the stream will only show a black screen until the next instance of MC is opened

cheatbreaker seems to be better for now but Badlion Premium is going to be better in the future. I hope at least.

TBH the features they added in premium looks ugly. The hud mods etc. that's one of the reasons why I prefer cheatbreaker, their layout and mods look nice

Badlion used to be a minuscule server, obviously. It would average anywhere from 5-30 players when I first joined, and later 30-100, and it kept growing. At some point, Badlion reached a growth spurt, and they had hundreds of players on everyday.

The growing community didn't go unnoticed, and JHalt, the owner of MineHQ, sent (iirc) an offer to purchase Badlion. The owners of Badlion, Archybot and MasterGberry, refused the offer. Immediately after, Badlion was hit by a massive DDoS attack for several days. So massive, in fact, Badlion was kicked out of its data center, and forced to migrate. It was obvious what had happened here.

Tensions continued, and itsJhalt was constantly shady and involved in a lot of incidents detrimental to the health of Badlion. To list everything he has been accused of by the Badlion community would actually take research, this is based off of memory

More recently, MineHQ's administration were accused of developing a ghost client, used within the Administration team and with close friends, such as Stimpy. Stimpy was banned on Badlion for cheating, the situation was extremely publicized, Jhalt denied all claims.

Around this time, MineHQ and Badlion were both working on an anti-cheat client. The Badlion community had reasons to suspect that JHalt was up to no good, but hey, I'll leave that up to you. His policies on the client have indeed shifted since then, and are less shady, most likely as a direct result of our community's scrutiny.

So it comes down to a rivalry, I suppose. It's pretty obvious to me who holds the moral high ground. The significance of that, though, I'm not sure.
