the current meta for the "average player" so around idk emerald 4 to gold 4 is to spam water and bowspam (play defensive).this is a huge factor into why good players don't enjoy playing build and therefore quit it.
it's time consuming and highly irritating.
idk how but this meta needs to change because it ruins the fun in the game.
yes you can tell me thats a strategy and all this bollocks but coming from someone who has played builduhc since it came out on Badlion, I'm telling you it's not a good strategy.

Okay let me put it this way, you play builduhc for fun, to win, to improve. (dunno any other reason).
firstly. fun!!! it's a multiplayer game. "MULTI". M U L T I. THERE'S SOMEONE ELSE. YOU PLAYING LIKE THIS RUINS THEIR FUN.
secondly. to win!!! okay you think you're going to win playing like this? no hell no. those highly skilled players will still win if they try, it's just that You'll be wasting so much more time (leads onto point number 3).
thirdly, to improve!!! playing like this will not improve your skill. You are not challenging yourself by sitting there, putting water and bowspamming. Having to play aggresive or just fight in general , improves your reaction, your knowledge and I think its called game sense or whatever Hivlik said. You'll only go so far playing like this. I'm telling you, there's no highly skilled player who plays like this.Sure you got a few who are around emerald 2-emerald 1 but not diamond or masters. In elo, these players will have around 2k elo in my opinion. They will struggle later on because the players above 2.1k are usually players who are not just reliant on this bow/water strategy, who are players with far more experience and skill and therefore easily breeze these kids. Cos the people who play like this, only rely on the fact that the opposition can't be focused 100% all the time and simply just piss them off enough to rush you with blocks to get free rod crits. that wont be the case in the higher elos, those players won't get pissed cos their elo sweats. they'll take their time, let you drain your arrows and destroy you.
To Conclude, anyone who plays with this strategy, I hope you guys change it up because you are part of the reason why BuildUHC(the most popular kit obvs) is dead. I posted quite a few today, check em out while ur here.

As horrible as bow spam, water spam is, Pika is correct
The way a meta develops is by implementing / trying new strategies that counter the previous best strategy.
Block spamming may not be the best counter however he is right in the fact that the meta will develop as a new effective counter is found
It is true that the best players do not do this and can counter it due to their pure skill and focus, however I can imagine that many Silvers / Golds for example are able to use this and get up to Emerald. They may not be able to beat the Diamonds and Masters but without this strategy they would be ranked much lower, therefore they continue to bow / water spam
So overall what really can be done? A thread can only really help if somebody finds a way to counter the current problem and tells / shows everyone how to in a thread, however informing people that there is a problem doesn't really help and has been done way too many times
The only way that the meta can drift away from its current state is if badlion intervenes by changing the kit (which is happening as arrows are being reduced) or a superior strategy that combats the water / bow spam becomes popular. As long as many players can keep using this current strategy effectively and win the majority of games, they wont stop.

Ok, this thread has become a massive flame war. This thread, and the people who have replied have brought up some really good points, but now everyone is just arguing with each other and being fairly disrespectful doing so. Please, grow up. It disappoints me that you guys can't have a civil discussion about something that is great to talk about.
