Computer Randomly Freezing - Help

Hello. So recently my computer has just shut down. It would make a really weird noise in my headphones and the screen would freeze, and I'd have to restart my PC. Sometimes a blue screen saying "Your PC has ran into a problem" With an error code, sad face, and just like you would guess, I'd restart my PC again. Im wondering if it's a windows problem (someone told me that) or just somethings I need to delete.

Yes, but make sure you don't put it right next to the intake fans.

Edit: I mean exhaust fans :D
