Beginners Guide To BuildUHC! [trying not to be cringe]
I'd just like to put it out there, that I'm not suggesting at all I'm some god at pvp and stuff yeah but I was top 10 build earlier this season(check out jezify on yt if you want proof XDXD #freepromotion). Anyway I saw someone ask how to get better etc so let me just give you idk some stuff I learnt without being super cringey :D

This is for new people okay. If I see some emerald 2+ chatting shit I swear to god, I'll do nothing :<

Firstly, he mentioned about wtap and all that stuff. Don't even worry about all that stuff yet mate, that's stuff you can think about when you're really comfortable with the kit and a good skill level(I'd say about emerald 2-3 is when you should look into it).

Secondly, CPS(Clicks per second). Okay this is a broad topic but il try my best. For BuildUHC, It is better to get 6-8 (I consider low cps) and be very comfortable with hotkeying your items etc than like 10-15 ( I consider high cps) and have awful aim+not being able to hotkey efficiently. Ofc if you're comfortable and have good aim while clicking fast go for it, but it's not a necessity to be good at the kit. I personally alternate between 7-12 cps depending on the situation. The best way to practice clicking at what's comfortable and improving your aim is definitely playing pot in my opinion. Kits like gapple though I prefer nodebuff :P. I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to promote other servers or anything, but I'd suggest playing pot on other servers for now since the kb is a bit sketch( all will be fixed for the new season). Most of the servers, you have to pay but Valux is free. Play unranked on there(though you'll fight a hacker once in a while). Please snip this part out if it's against the rules mods :P I just wanna help ^-^.

Thirdly, hotkeying/being comfortable. Alright, this is one of the major factors of being good at builduhc. Being comfortable with your hotkeys. the biggest tip I can give you is: PLEASE DON'T CHANGE YOUR SETTINGS. I've been playing for a while and I've always changed them. It's so much better to just get familiar with one and keep it. Same time, don't pick stupid hotkeys like don't have 789 as it's just too far away and makes it very awkward in a sticky situation. idk watch like good players, see what they got or just make up your own set of hotkeys and stick to it.

Fourthly, random shit.
Don't pregap. Waste. You pregap. I shoot you twice. We're both 10 hearts except you got 1 gap less. Yeah I got 2 arrows less but in the long run, unless it's very close and it comes down to 2 arrows, most of the time, the fight ends way before then so you'll be at a disadvantage.

Don't water spam/bowspam. Play to improve, not to piss off the opponent to get on an alt and use huzuni or some shit on you. Use it when you have to etc if you're low , place some blocks put water so he cant rush you and gap.

crits are quite important so make sure you land your rods and positioning, if the guy's against the wall or in the corner, you're most likely in the advantage, I mean there is the fact he wont take kb since he's against the wall but you can lava , you can move around so he misses his rod etc Also, if you see the chance of low ground, take it. More likely to win the fight.

Also if you can record yourself fighting , that helps since you can see what you did wrong etc. Don't be annoyed you're playing against people with higher ratings, tbh you should be grateful. It'll be harder, challenging and the only way you'll get better is by playing better people. Even if you lose, see what you did wrong ,or what he did right.

revising for my exam tomorrow and I decided to take a 15min break so ye this is what I came up with.

hope it helped at least 1 person :P

Whenever I try to lava I either don't place anything or lava myself lol
Hmm, well surely lava works atleast half the time lmao so idk what to say about that, know your fov, see how far you can place lava and keep practising. tbh playing sg kit or sg in general helps with that in my opinion. If you look at all the players who are "known" for their lava tactics, their all sg players. Anyway, if lava is a big problem, you're better of having 1 lava bucket and 2 water buckets in your inventory. Just use the lava when their in a corner, if not just focus on melee. tbh its quite beneficial. lots of times when opponents are trying to lava, you can just get free crits. Use a very quick easy comfortable hotkey for lava tho, if ur not quick with it, its pretty useless.

100% do not agree with "don't change your settings." No I changed my settings constantly as they were extremely shitty and not the most optimal for pvp. Even though I got familiar with them using some different showed the real change. For example in s10 I was like 1700 or something using quake pro and then s11 I was 2250 when I changed my settings and got used to them.

well you can change your settings if you think there is something more comfortable. However, don't just change your settings because your favourite pvp youtubers settings are different. This is incredibly stupid, since you might not be comfortable with these settings. If you find yourself comfortable with your settings, keep playing with them, but if you think there could be an easier hotkey to reach, then experiment with it. (just my opinion)

Apart from this, the other tips are pretty good @jezi_is_cracked

Well yeah obviously, playing quake pro is a different story. I mean if your use to 75 fov with hotkeys your comfortable with, don't change it just because a friend or there's some famous player who's got higher rankings with different settings. thats what I was trying to say :3
