How to remove black screen after a video in Sony Vegas?

I'm gonna do a lot of uhc highlights and I can't make them when a video that is supposed to be 3 minutes ends up being a 20 minute video. Rendering also takes forever when this happens. Any help?-Jarecl
note: I am not going to post on this alt like I do on my main. I'm leaving the forums because everybody hates me but I will post bugs, threads for help, and maybe suggestions.
