Specs:

i7-7700t

Nvidia 930mx

16 gb ddr4 ram

For some strange reason, I only get 200-300 fps, which is godly compared to my old pc but I feel like I should be getting way more fps. I have 4gb allocated to minecraft.

Make the 4gb allocated to ram 8 . I had a 8gb ram and i allocated 2gb which didn't do shit.

Not even true, adding too much ram can make it laggier. There is no reason to have over 2gb unless you are running shit like HD shaders. The biggest FPS hogs are texture packs, render distance, entity shadows, smooth lighting, and mods like minimaps.
