IDK if this has been proposed before (my apologies if it has) but I don't see why the OP cannot lock their own thread and must require a staff member to do so. (That is assuming the OP is a regular player)I cannot think of a reason that this can be abused so on the safe side, moderators or any members of the staff team can unlock a thread and the op cannot unlock their threads after locking. (So they have to think!)
