Im stating they should not be harassed.People have the right to know if a person is legit or not. A reputation on minecraft means nothing regardless unless your in skydoesminecraft case where he is making around 1-2 mill annually of course.

it's their own fault for cheating, why don't they deserve the consequences? take dualzz for example, he publicly bragged on the forums about his k/d and elo and built up reputation for being a great pvper. He knew the whole time he was cheating yet he accepted others opinions about him because they were positive. in the end the community found out he was just a scum bag and now we have to be gentle not to hurt his feelings?

Yes, because harassment is harassment, even if it's a cheater you're harassing.

the entire community respects and admires player 1

Saturday comes and Player 1 has been the first one banned for cheating and not admitting to it on the forums. Along with him most of the top 20 is banned and Player 2 and a few others are the only legit ones left.
Would you
1. Treat Player #1 like a king or a god *cough hivlik cough*
or
2. Make sure his utterly false reputation is ruined. (also give Player #2 a great reputation for never resorting to cheating to get to the top 20 even though he just got completely battered and bashed whenever he joined a ladder)

I never asked for anybody to do number one, just not to do number two. Is there really no middle ground between treating him like a king and utterly harassing him?
