Posting applications in the wrong thread
Whenever someone posts a youtube or staff application they just get forum banned for a week and the bot tells them "If you don't know how to post in the right section then you cant be a staff member or a youtuber"

This seems a bit harsh. With YT rank, it isn't too much of a big deal. When someone tries to apply for staff this way, it does show that they can't folliw basic directions, which if you don't learn from it, will effect your chances of getting in to begin with. Regardless, forum banning someone for this is a little pointless, and isn't productive, as it is a simply mistake that can easily be protected.

A tad bit too harsh in my opinion, if they posted an application thread, have an admin mark their account and anytime they go on the application page they get redirected to the home page

-1 As said above it doesn't help anyone and would be too harsh for a simple mistake.

It certainly does hurt your chances, but it's still entirely possible to get accepted even if you do post it and not listen to directions (https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/10056).

Another point is that forum bans are for major offenses, putting a thread in the wrong area a few times is nothing major. Staff can easily fix these mistakes and move on.
