I think the AU community has just about had enough.
This thread is not to hate on anyone or make anyone look bad it's just stating the facts and I am sorry if that offends you.

There are plenty of problems that are quite evident in the AU community but some of the most prominent problems are the fact that there are hardly any UHC's hosted, there are hardly any staff, the community is dying and there is a ridiculous amount of cheaters and xrayers who get away with it.


1. Hardly any UHC's Hosted: Currently as I am writing this part of the thread it is a Friday Evening 9:46pm in New Zealand. Today, on a Friday night during most of Australia and all of New Zealand's school holidays there has been only one game and that game was hosted by the same host that has hosted at the same time every day of the last week, YummiBoi is the only host that consistently hosts over things like school holidays, etc. I think it is really disappointing that we hardly get any games and there is some pretty obvious reasons for that and one of them brings me to my next point that AU has hardly any staff.

2. There are hardly any AU staff, let alone UHC hosts: In total, currently there are about 8 AU staff members. 8…. I don't think there is much more that I can say on this to be quite frank because I think the number explains enough. Not only is there a serious lack of staff there is also a serious lack of staff who actually care. For example no hate towards Rxwrr but the last time she logged onto the Badlion network was in 2012…. And I am hardly exaggerating. Not only that but the staff that there actually are don't even host UHC's: Zockzz doesn't host(With good reason as he is senior so he has a lot of other stuff to do). Twisz doesn't host(Not sure why). Scrub only hosts NA games at the moment(Apparently there is a reason why but I think the reason is pretty dumb). YummiBoi hosts consistently but he can only host the 2:30AEST games because that is the only game that is not past his bed time. PoisonShadows only hosted to get 100 games, he didn't care about the game and only banned people for illegal mining and he didn't punish anyone if he liked them and punished everyone who he disliked. Prime Match just doesn't ever host(Maybe one game per month??)
Honestly the AU staff team isn't that bad but there simply isn't enough of them to actually cater for the server and something needs to change.

3. The community is dying: After scrolling through many AU Badlion UHC Highlights I have seen that back in 2016 AU had 100-300 player fills and now we only get a maximum of 90. That is pretty disappointing. I am aware that Minecraft as a game is dying, actually no, this style of playing the game(Competitive/PvP) is dying, but even so the dramatic decrease in the AU UHC fills cannot only be blamed on that but simply the fact that the AU community is dying and that is the sole fault of Badlion. Badlion simply doesn't care about the AU side of the server, this was shown in the fact that when we had a huge server/internet issue that ruined everyone's connection to Badlion it took them a ridiculous amount of time to actually do something about it. The lack of care for AU is also shown in the fact that our AU UHC servers lag every 5 minutes which causes many people to die of server lag related issues and not their own internet.

Because I don't want this thread to only be critical I want to give some suggestions to grow the AU Badlion community. For example Badlion should host some more "AU Champs Games" but instead of giving stars to every winner maybe just give them some Premium time? By this I mean we should still have the main AU Champs Game where the normal prizes of stars and ranks are given out but we should also do more UHC tournaments, etc where the winners get Premium time or something similar.

Another way I think that Badlion can revive the community is by hosting more tournaments, I think it would be a good idea for Rxwrr and the rest of the staff team to host some different Arena Tournaments for AU(Build UHC, Archer, Gapple, etc.) and maybe even some Meetup Tournaments again where the winners would get something along the lines of Premium time. Even if there is no prizes for the tournaments I still think this could be a good way to fix the problem of the community dying.

I also think it is crucial that the Badlion staff team(Mostly Rxwrr, the Admins, Owners, etc) should pay more attention to the AU community and instead of Rxwrr hosting that community conference once a year maybe she should host one every 2 months, month or even every few weeks.

4. A ridiculous amount of cheaters and xrayers: I am not going to spend too much time addressing this issue because I think most of this has been covered previously but basically all the good players(Good as in UHC stats wise) blatantly xray and don't ever get caught. I think that the only way to decrease this ridiculous amount of cheaters is to get more staff which I have addressed previously.

Conclusion:
In conclusion I would just like to state that I don't intend any harm and I was not trying to be rude or anything.
I tried to not just be negative but instead give suggestions on how to improve as well.

1. I agree that this is by far the biggest problem with AU badlion. How is there meant to be a community if no games get hosted?

2. I know like 10 people that have applied for host and none of them got it. The hiring of a new staff member (Heffernan) was a good start but we need like 3/4 to ensure that we at least get 1 team and 1 FFA game per day.

3. Tournaments would probably be a good start to reviving the community I guess.

4. If badlion did quick and simple screenshares for xray (Just check mods folder and resource packs), the xraying problem would be resolved. A few days ago, a high-stats UHC player offered to start streaming for a few minutes mid game to prove he was not using an xray mod/pack. If moderators could make players do things like this, the xraying problem would be mostly resolved.

1. Badlion staff members have lives too. We can't be on 24/7 to host every single game. This is a volunteer job so you shouldn't complain when a few games aren't getting hosted because the staff are out enjoying life. After all it is the school holidays in Australia/New Zealand so they might be wanting to do things outside. You should be appreciative that the hosts provide games for you because they don't have to do as many as they do.

2. If you think there is not enough staff why don't you apply yourself? If you are good enough you might be able to assist the community instead of complaining about it.

3. The AU community as a whole is dying somewhat, and I do believe we need some more updates to keep players interested. Tournaments good be a good idea depending on how often they occur and prizes etc.

4. Again, more staff = more chance for people to be banned.

oooh a thread my turn

1. Badlion Staff became Badlion Staff to host UHC's. I'm not saying that you guys hosting every now and then is a bad thing but we would like more UHC hosts so if everyone hosts once and a while we would actually have games.

2. The AU community is dying because less and less games are being hosted and i agree with you on updates.

3. If more staff = more chance of people getting banned then shouldn't someone make a thread on the front post saying how we need AU hosts because this issue is addressed to some people but not everyone knows.

It's like 2 am don't kill me if I'm not taking sense itzdrainedpvp made me do this

This thread just makes me mad. Rxwrr is a manager so she has to deal with other things then hosting games such has managing their assigned staff members. And you might not know this yet but staff members also have a life too!!! Shocker!! Some host go on LOA due to them being busy so they can not host and you over exaggerated the inactivity of some staff members way too much. Another thing is that they are NOT being paid to host games. They are using their OWN time to provide you games for you. So if your going to make a rant on how our AU staff team is so horrible in your eyes then you just might as well go back to playing with your Minecraft legos.
