/ping
Make it to where you can see your ping and other people's ping using the command /ping or /ping (Player) like what MineHQ has. :P

Not sure if this is still accurate as it was almost 3 years ago but this was an explanation as to why they hadn't added it https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/10670/post/50009#50009

People will just use it as a way to make fun of people, and I don't really see it as a good thing

I think the current ocmmunity has progressed from blaming everything down to "ping." This would just bring back an excuse for losing and would cause some other minor problems.

I think the idea of checking your own ping is a great idea however somebody else, not really essential but why not.

@UVpickles @Msging Your thinking way too hard about this.

That wouldn't be a bad idea. Reading it it looked as if you'd be able to /ping (player) which would cause lots of hassle.

I'm confused. You think that /ping will cause arguments over who has better ping?

Arguments over who has better ping are completely pointless and will most likely NEVER happen. This is a way to check your own connection to the server and a more efficient method to check which proxy is better for you. NA/EU/SA/AU.

Not an "argument." I feel players would /ping (msging) after an archer match and message me "You've got 20ms no wonder you won," or something along those lines. I wouldn't mind it if it was souly to check your own connection.

That's not even close to being bad saying, You've got 20ms no wonder you won,"

You can see your ping to the server before even logging on. I think it's simple enough that way.

+1 Because we'd be able to tell whether or not someone is hacking more accurately based on their ping.

-1 Because there's two things that can happen from this.

If they see you with low ping, they'll call you a pinger

and if they see you with high ping, they'll call you lagger

No matter, I can assure that will happen.

/ping is only going to bring more excuses to loosing and I think that's the last thing we need right now.
