au tournaments

No this is not a meme, au is more competitive than you guys may think. Yes, the community is small and not getting any bigger. part of the reason is due to the fact it's been close to a year since there was an update to arena. As less and less people play arena, it becomes increasingly difficult to find matches which makes even more people to quit.But that's not to say there isn't potential for growth. I believe au tornaments will be beneficial for the growth of the community and help au become more competitive.
1v1 tournaments would not be very competitive since no one can compete with @tWisz and @LittleLevi, so maybe 3v3 or 5v5 tournaments would be more interesting.

I was personally thinking about hosting an AU tournament for 2v2 build after the 5v5 tournament and my NoDebuff tournament. I don't exactly know how much support there would be for it though, if I'm being completely honest.Posted on 20 July 2017 - 07:51 PM

Most AU players don't play arena because the season has gone on for far too long. A lot of players play UHC though, and I am confident that most good AU players would play the tournament. Thats only about 50 people, but thats enough for a small tournament for sure.
I personally would like to see a 5v5 BuildUHC state tournament, so each of the states (and NZ) have a team of 5 and compete against each other to see which region is the best. I would host one myself but I have no idea where I would start.
