We didn't really interact until a couple months after I got staff, as far as I can remember. At first I didn't like you - you seemed like you were a long term staff member who was bitter about being passed over for senior, and you definitely seemed annoyed that I had gotten it before you. When you got senior, I assumed it was just because of how OG you were.
I think the thing that really changed my opinion of you was when you came back. If I tried to come back and was denied senior, it would be an instant deal breaker for me, but you came back as a blue tag and worked your way back up to senior. That takes work and dedication, and it made me respect you as a staff member much more than I ever had before. On top of that, talking to you in Dexter's chat, you seem both very intelligent and very opinionated, and you seem both thoughtful and pragmatic on a number of issues both relating to Badlion and relating to the real world. I don't know if I was just too judgmental early on or if you changed during the time I've known you, but you're definitely someone who has my respect.
To be honest, I've wrestled with the idea of coming back a lot, but there are a number of reasons that I don't think I will. For one, I'm entering my senior year and preparing to write my college applications, so after this summer my free time is about to become really limited. Secondly, there are a lot of reasons why I left, and I have a lot of frustrations with the staff team and how it's run, and I know that I'd have no power to change those things. Third, I'd have to deal with the fact that I'd likely be a manager if I had stayed, and I don't really fancy having to question my decision to resign a thousand more times. And finally, I'm getting older and having less and less free time, and justifying using that time to staff for Badlion has become increasingly difficult to me. This isn't meant to dissuade anyone from moderating; staffing on Badlion was a fantastic experience for me and I recommend it to anyone who still has the time for it. But I do think my time on here, at least as an Arena staffer, is over.
All that said, I've considered coming back as a Community Manager or even a developer once I turn 18, and both of those are much more likely than me returning as Arena.

You're a very good staff member, but beyond that, you really care about both Badlion and the community. I think because of past mistakes you've made, it's likely you'll never get the recognition you deserve from within the staff team, so your current strategy of appealing mainly to the community rather than the staff team is a good one. You're smart and driven and my opinion of you has come a long way since the days where I suspected you were leaking to MMAC. There's probably more I could say about you and more advice I could give you about Badlion, but I think you already know anything else I could put here.
Was I ever good at catching cheaters? Looking back on all the mistakes I made during my time as staff, even deep into my days as senior, sometimes I question if I was ever as good as I thought I was. I definitely made the most mistakes as a blue tag though, when I thought I was the best at everything.
But I do think I was a pretty decent hack catcher by the time I left the team, so I'll do my best to give you a non-bullshit answer to this question. About a year ago I asked freekkiller a question about how he was so good, and he told me it was mostly just experience. Humans get better at tasks by doing them over and over, and I banned over 500 people and dealt with literal thousands of appeals during my time as staff. Experience is the best teacher for anything.

As for a life motto, it's hard for me to sum everything up, but I will say this: my general philosophy is any regret or guilt about the past is useless beyond what it teaches you about the future. Beating yourself up about mistakes you've made or questioning past decisions doesn't help you. Instead, accept the present state of things, and learn from your past errors to change your behavior in the present and future.

I play Badlion quite a bit now that summer has started. I still enjoy it a lot as a server.

There's a lot I'd say to the me of a year ago, but I think more than anything I'd say focus on school. It's a lot more important than you know, and you can do so much better than you have so far.
Both. Badlion needs competition to fuel it, but the drama is really obnoxious.

If you were to change one thing in the Badlion staff team what would it be?It's seemed to me throughout your time as staff and after you resigned that you never really want to talk to me, is this true or is it just a coincidence we're on at completely opposite times?
What college are you looking to get into and/or what profession?
