<Information>Hey everyone! I've been privileged helping start up the Badlion Tournament League along with JuztChicken, who has helped initiate the whole thing, and Unwise, who initially had the idea of doing something like this. The BTL will essentially be a community of players who wish to participate in tournaments, whether that be playing or helping run them. This league will also hopefully bond the community closer together, as well as promote the competitive meta as a whole. See the social media section to see what will be used for all events. This thread will be kept with the most up to date information, so be sure to check back every once and awhile.
<Social Media>
We will be using various forms of social media to broadcast events as well as provide for the community.
Discord- https://discord.gg/k5teFaz - This server will be used to announce upcoming events to the community. It will also be used as a general all purpose chat for anyone to simply just chat in. It will also be a mandatory requirement for all future participants to join, as it will drastically help decrease the amount of no shows and complications in future tournaments.
Twitter - https://twitter.com/BadlionTL - This account will be used to announce events for the community. It will also be used for straw polls and potential giveaways in the future. This account follows all administrators of the league, and will be ran by them.
<Staff Info>
We will need plenty of people to help out with each tournament that is hosted. With that being said, we encourage anyone who wishes to help out to apply for an unofficial volunteer position to help us, and the community, out. We don't have terribly high expectations, but we do need to see that applicants care and display a certain level of maturity to help out. Every position has nothing to do with Badlion. All positions will also be allowed to participate in tournaments. They also don't have to be at every tournament, but are expected to make as many as they can. If you are above a ref position, you cannot help run and play in the same tournament. Here is a list of each position and what they will be in charge of:
Administrator - In charge of making sure everything affiliated with the BTL runs smoothly and efficiently. These will be the people with ultimate authority and decision making when running events. This is not a position you can apply for. Only trusted individuals who have gained the credit and reputation necessary to put in the work for the position will be asked to help out with this position.
- Oversight - In charge of making sure everyone does their job.
- Social Media Manager - In charge of all social media affiliated with the BTL. Will be the person in charge of giveaways and such as
well.
- Video Manager - In charge of editing videos to put of the BTL's YouTube. This will also be the person reviewing clips sent for the Top
5 series, as well as all other video submissions.
- Applications - In charge of looking through staff applications. Also the people who will contact people if they have been accepted.
Tournament Manager - These are the people in charge of running tournaments at a more basic level. They basically have the role of administrators without having the same discord perms, access to social media accounts, and email. These will be the people in charge of entering in spreadsheet data, filling out challonges, potentially making threads, giving out prizes, and running tournaments the day of. This can also be granted to anyone who is deemed willing to run their own tournament. But, it will be a temporary position for those who wish to use the league to advertise their own tournament as well as use staff members to help out. You can apply for this position, but if you have no experience, you will most likely be denied. You may also be asked to become this position if you are running your own event, and an admin asks you to participate in the league.
Ref Manager - These are the people in charge of refs the day of the tournament. These will be the people with challonge perms, and they will be the ones refs report to after a match is finished to log the results. These people will also have discord moderation perms. You can apply for this position, but only those who are deemed mature and experienced will get it.
Ref - Without refs, tournaments would not be run smoothly at all. With that being said, we need a large number of refs who are also reliable. You don't need experience to be a ref, and they will not have discord moderation perms. You will be taught more extensively about what you will be doing at the time of each tournament. As a ref, you can also play in tournaments you are reffing in. Essentially, you will be playing when you need to, and then reffing games when you're not playing. This is the position that requires the least amount of experience, and is the easiest to get in. We are more than happy to help train people to become refs. Note, if you clearly show that you are incapable of reffing, or acting in a mature/respectable way, you will be striped of all responsibilities and permissions a ref has. If you go to the extreme, you will be blacklisted from future tournaments.

<Rules>
These are the rules that apply for all tournaments related to the league. Note, all of these rules can be changed and enforced at any given time. Faliure to follow one, or multiple, of these rules may result in a blacklist/DQ.
Tournament rules:
Follow all Badlion rules
No cheating
No being a bad sport
Do not harass anyone privately or publicly
Do not excessively no show to tournaments
The oversight administrator has ultimate authority over disputes
Discord rules:
No harassment
No spamming
No being obnoxious excessively
No inappropriate links/pictures
No obnoxious names
No excessively changing your name
<Blacklisted Players>
This will be the list of player who will not be allowed to participate in tournaments hosted by the league. For one reason or another, they have ruined the experience for other players, and will not be allowed to participate on any account of theirs. If you are banned on any account (recently) for cheating, you are also blacklisted. If you are on this list and wish to be un-blacklisted, contact UVpickles on discord.

It did have a very similar ref line up to the other tourneys and it basically started the whole tournament trend thats why I think it deserves a spot
