No shame dude. I have a lot of good memories from PE too.Try to learn hotkeying, better then scroll and you will learn how to lava with this plus you have easier access to bow, rod, water and blocks. it helps tons.
I believe you have autosprint right? reduces the stress of having to hold your key down. Not much of an improvement but it's better because you don't have to hold a button down for no catch.
That's all. Rod, Bow and how fast you can use your bucket are all good factors. Blockhitting is a little useful if your in a tight area. Don't use it if your strafing though or you'll lose all your hearts due to not being able to move mcuh
You already know Strafing I assume.
