Rewarding streaks

-1 for a few reasons

First off, when you start at 1400 and if you're a God, just generally a really strong and consistent player, you'll get on a huge win streak. This will make for crazy and somewhat unfair elo inflation.

Secondly, the reason win streaks are a bad idea is hackers. If you win 50 games and get a giant streak and then you die to a hacker, well that just sucks and really isn't fun.

Thirdly, we all know the trend of the tryhard getting on at 3 am to grind so he only fights low elo players. This idea just makes that way more overpowered.

Lastly, elo pools are always supposed to contain the same amount of elo/mean. This one doesn't matter much, but I still prefer it being very close to perfect if not perfect.

I don't seem to understand everyone's complaints with the new elo system. It'll have a lot less inflation; so what? It's quite simply really.

This exactly, he sums it up and there are just too many flaws to make this a realistic idea in my opinion.

-1, they should make that if you lose a match you should lose like 10-14 so you have to grind more, but the opponent wouldn't get that much, they would only get 7-8

That's not how ELO works. ELO is a 0 inflation system. Every person who gains a point, someone has to lose a point (at least in even sided teams)

Streaks only really work with mmr, and that being a big mmr system. Let's take rocket league again, you only play players in your rank and the more you win in a row the better the opponents you play.

This wouldn't work for Elo again as each player has to lose or gain the same amount of Elo, as well you don't only play players in your rank.

this can be implemented but for example if a player is in 100-200 elo range from you so it doesnt cause the grinding 1400s at 3am problem or fighting low level players - simple fix @Msging

Meh. That's a minor problem and it would overcomplicate it all.

The only idea I can think of is a cash in system where you either take the extra ELO you've gained and lose your streak or continue to try get a larger one but if you lose, you lose all the ELO you gained. This idea could potentially work if you spent hours planning it all out but it would make ELO lose it's simple mechanics which I personally like and so do many others.

not worth it, now this is too complicated, rather would just keep it S15 Elo

what if you added small win streaks and in order to combat the inflation you can have rating decay be a way to get rid of excess elo. If someone doesn't play a ladder for 7 days they lose 1 elo in it followed by 1 consecutive elo each day until they have fallen back to a certain rank.

Mmr is a better system but I think for S15 Elo will be better
