Good news everybody, UHC Meetup 3.0 has entered open beta finally! We have been hard at work now for a couple of months now working on this huge internal upgrade to support team of 2 games for UHC Meetup that people have been requesting for months and months now. Today that update goes live! For those of you who are not familiar with what UHC Meetup is, it's a simulation of the end game for a Badlion UHC. Everyone is scattered around a generated world and given some randomish gear to fight. Last one standing wins.
Without further ado let's dive straight into what's changed with UHC Meetup 3.0!

Team of 2 Meetup!
We now have special servers that are going to host Team of 2 Meetup games. Finally you can practice for the upcoming UHC match with your teammate! Use the /party system to have your team automatically created or use /team in game to make a local team for that match.
Mini UHC Meetup!
Having 40 or 50 players too much chaos for you? Want to play only the last 8 people in a UHC Match? No problem, we got you covered. Introducing Mini UHC Meetup! A smaller map of a 50x50 (50 radius) with only 8 players allowed! This gives you less craziness of one of our normal Meetup games and lets you only worry about a few surrounding people. The kits have also been tweaked to reflect this later stage of Meetup.
New Rating System!
We are changing our rating systems back to a simple number like ELO. We will have different tiers in the rating system like we do for ArenaPvP Season 15. Please keep in mind we might reset ratings if the algorithm is not working the way we want it to.
Rating changes now are messaged across the network.
If you played in a UHC Meetup match and then died before the end and decide to go play ArenaPvP, we will tell you how much your rating changed at the end of the game! This way you always know when your rating went up or down, and why.
Voting has been updated!
Votes for gamemodes are now percentages like in SG 2.1. This means instead of picking the gamemode with the most votes, it's a % chance of that gamemode being chosen. For example, if timebomb has 70 votes and horseless has 30 votes, this means that timebomb has a 70% chance of being the gamemode, and horseless has a 30% chance of being the gamemode.
No Clean Gamemode
The popular gamemode known as No Clean has been brought over to UHC Meetup 3.0! Now you don't have to worry about being backstabbed anymore after you just earned an awesome double kill!

We hope you guys are super excited about these changes and we thank everyone for being patient while we made sure everything was done just right. We also hope that the rating changes will make it a lot more clear to players how the rating systems work, as this was one of the biggest confusions with UHC Meetup 2.0.
Something small to note is that Team of 2 and Mini UHCM will have separate stats from regular UHCM (FFA).
Let us know what you think below, and don't be afraid to give suggestions on how to make it better!

TO2 meetup yes please. I look forward to trying out the kits and hopefully they are much more balance. Hype! Here is a little bit of feedback from the 5/6 games so far
Maps
A bit like the old Meetup there are far too many trees and less open areas. Trees should be kept to a minimum
This is the same from the old Meetup but I really dislike the long grass which features in the map. A bit of grass is fine but don't completely flood the map.
Can you add some buildings like villages etc? I'd suggest making it so doors are unable to be opened but still have the physical buildings to spice things up a bit.
Stop final maps like this happening - https://gyazo.com/bbb11c0b7f1d483bbc9f8d7c3904aca5 It's just stupid 3/4 are trees and then a hill in the corner, it doesn't make a good fight.
Kits
I like the new kits as they feel a bit more balanced however I don't like the introduction of unenchanted diamond armour. It just clogs up inventories even more as now there is both enchanted iron and unenchanted diamond. Pick one or the other.
Make unbreaking rare but make it possible to get in kits.
Rating system
I feel as if you go up a bit slower than you should. It could become a bit of a grind. Will give more feedback on this when I've played more matches
Suggestions/Features
I'd like to see a way to customise a kit so that the items you always receive at the start get put into certain spaces. This would just save time at the start of the fight.
Every time the border shrinks clear are blocks within the border to stop them from building up. Also when it gets to the smallest border clear blocks every 2 minutes as final fights can last 5/10 minutes and the area gets really built up.

Instead of mini UHC meet up have like a gladiators type game where it's like a minigames mini-tournament where u have to fight to the topLast edited on 26 August 2017 - 08:15 AM by DerRevilos

You can't call that UHCMeetup though.
Maybe cool as a separate gamemode.
Edit: Or did you mean that? Not sure

No I wouldn't call it UHCMeetup but it would be a replacement for mini uhcmeetup.

Now that the map is 125x125 I don't see why not keep 50 players games, nice update anyhowPosted on 26 August 2017 - 09:50 AM
