Hey folks. Today I am happy to share some awesome changes coming to Badlion Open that are going to make everyone in the community happy. We are buffing the Minecraft PvP on Badlion closer to the Badlion Premium specification of 128 TPS.

What does this mean?

We have decided to take some of the things we learned while building Badlion Premium and bring them to Badlion Open for free use of all players. Players will notice that certain entities have a smoother movement now than they did before. With these changes also comes a smoother form of knockback. Please note that test knockback values are live on ArenaPvP Season 15 Beta and this is where you should be looking to give your input on knockback (vote on the unranked kits).

The Badlion Premium gameplay videos were really glitchy, are we going to hate these changes?

No absolutely not! The majority of issues with the Badlion Premium gameplay were related to the 128 TPS Minecraft client. Since the normal Minecraft clients and the Badlion Client by default run at 20 TPS you will notice nothing but more smooth gameplay. Any of the glitchiness from the 128 TPS client will not be present. We have specially ported changes to our servers that will only help (and they all helped Badlion Premium as well).

When we were testing internal alpha for Badlion Premium we had already noticed smoother gameplay just by speeding up the tick rate on the server before the 128 TPS client existed. I promise only good things are coming from these changes.

I don't believe you!

You don't have to :) Of course you will just be lying to yourself. Simply hop onto one of the new beta servers or recently updated gamemode servers and you will see the difference yourself.

When will we notice these changes?

The changes are already live on ArenaPvP Season 15 Open Beta and UHC 6.0 Open Beta. We will be adding these changes to the rest of the network later this month. We will make a tweet when we have pushed it through everything. The knockback voting on Season 15 must be concluded before we change all of our existing game modes. We are hoping to conclude our voting of Season 15 knockback values soon and then push these new values across the whole network.

Conclusion

Best Minecraft PvP gameplay experience on Badlion 2.0. Short and simple.
