Reverse psychology is why cheatbreaker was successful, and essential for Badlion's success going forward. If you don't know what reverse psychology is, I'll try my best to explain. Reverse psychology is a practice commonly used in marketing, and subconsciously in day to day conversations. The technique involves appearing to restrain a person's freedom of choice, which subconsciously persuades them to favor what you actually want them to desire. It's human nature to want as much freedom as possible, which is exactly why this technique is so effective.
Lets say 'option A' is off limits or difficult to achieve, the fact that we don't have the freedom to exercise that option at will makes us desire it even more. 'Option A' could even be a click-bait title, an example being "Don't click on this video". Though generic, titles like this subconsciously tricks your mind into thinking your freedom of clicking on that video is at risk. This makes you want to click on the video, just to prove to yourself you still have the freedom to click and watch whatever video you want.
Why is this important for Badlion you may ask? Well, reverse psychology can also be an extremely advantageous technique in gaining a competitive edge over rival businesses, in Badlion's case, Ultra and Cheatbreaker. Let's be real here, the BL Client has a far superior client side anticheat compared to cheatbreaker and it's development hasn't been stalled for years. But why is cheatbreaker still so much more popular? You know it, reverse psychology.
Love him or hate him, there's no denying Jhalt is a genius for how he advertised ocm… I mean cheatbreaker. He understood that if he publicly beta tested cheatbreaker like Badlion did with BLC, the community would inevitably find bugs and ways to bypass the 'client side anticheat', and consequently the hype would die out. So instead, he focused purely on growing the hype. By getting his partners to advertise cheatbreaker (Danteh, Tylarzz, PainfulPvP etc) and making it off limits to the community, cheatbreaker instantly became something desirable. As I've explained earlier, if 'option A' is off limits or difficult to achieve, the fact that we don't have the freedom to exercise that option at will makes us desire it even more. In this case, 'option A' is cheatbreaker.
The hype surrounding cheatbreaker has died down considerably now, but I believe there's something here that Badlion can learn.
Thanks for reading :D

there's a lot of hype because of the fps boost. tbh, i think it's spoofed, but i don't think the advertisers know this. ive only seen someone with high fps already use it, and i think it's that one psychology thing (FORGOT THE NAME). if you give someone fake medication for a week but don't tell them it's fake, your brain will make you think there's nothing wrong because you took some sort of medication. i feel like this is the same with cheatbreaker fps, it makes you think it's boosting you fps because the advertisers praise it (not knowing it's spoofed if it is) and you have a higher number.Last edited on 31 August 2017 - 11:56 AM by ATNOX

I don't think reverse psychology play an effect on this subject, Badlion premium was doomed from the start for many reasons like rushing to release, I also blame the first showcase by mentally since I couldn't understand a single word he said. The reason CB had so much hype is the number of sheeps this community has, If badlion chose someone like Huahwi to do the showcase instead of mentaly it would have been well received by the community.Last edited on 08 September 2017 - 02:43 PM by Eryzol
