Howdy folks. I posted a few weeks back about a little project I've been planning, and now that I have free time, I think I'll give it a whirl. Here's how its going to go. As numero uno archer, I'm tired of all the scrubs on ladder. There are only a handful of people on ladder at the moment who I think can put up a decent fight against me, and it's tiring. I want at leat a handful of people I trust to become excellent archers. Also, I can't be the best archer forever, so I want people there who I respect to take my place when I inevitably retire.Here's the plan:
1. Whoever posts/asks, I'll play a handful of archer matches with. These will either be a mix of traditional archer, UHC, or some matches reminiscent of how Race for Wool battles go (since I come from RFW originally and I think it's an excellent way to improve)
2. I'll rate everybody I face on a scale of 1-10 or so. The easiest way to do this is to play until either of us reaches 10 wins. And how many wins you get before I get 10 is your score.
3. Those with high scores or those who show potential I'll work with more closely. The number I choose is subject to change.
4. If I choose you and work with you, I guarantee that you'll get at least within the top 20 of archer ladder. Preferably, I'd like all of the chosen within the top 10, but 20 is probably more realistic. Also, if any of the chosen are interested in race for wool and you do end up in the top 10 of archer ladder, I'll extend an open offer to join a race for wool team I'm planning on starting.
I'll be online for most of the day today starting this, but I expect this process to last for the next couple of weeks, while I'm on break. Hit me up on skype, under christhenoob I have the penguin as my profile picture.
So, if you want to be the best, hit me up in this thread or in skype, and I'll try you out and see if you have what it takes.
Edit: DON'T MESSAGE ME IN GAME. I'm getting spammed and its easier to keep track here and on skype. I have a skype group and that method is preferable.

There's too much criteria to assure that one particular person is the best. It's difficult to say who's really the best, because there are so many different aspects of Minecraft's archery that different people value to say that there is a particular best.Some people think the best archer is the one with the most confusing strafe, some people think the best archer is the one with the best accuracy and some people think the best archer is the one who can play 1v1s best. No one should just be able to go ahead and call themselves "the best archer."
I can say my aiming is superior to christhenoob's, but I can also chris has a far better strafe than I. I can't say I'm better, but I can't say I'm worse either.
Just my judgment on that—I don't want to kill this thread with an argument now
