Heyo, I feel like the report and the punishment system is kinda obsolete atm and could get many quality of life improvements that would improve the playing experience a lot. At the moment both /report and /ban-mute are kinda obsolete and haven't been updated in ages, when using /ban - mute - report you have a gui with many reasons that are have no organization at all and isn't really user friendly.PUNISHMENT SYSTEM
Staff wise I feel like it would be easier to simply have /punish or /p. This command would bring up a gui where everything is organized like this https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/182910. At the bottom (goes up by how severe the rule is) you would have kickable stuff (camping, teaming etc), muteable chat stuff from low to high severity (disrespect to inappropriate content etc), bannable chat stuff (doxxing, ddos threats etc), "minor" bans (teaming, camping, trucing, sacrificing) "normal" cheating stuff (killaura, xray, cave finder, radar), "blatant" and common cheating (bhop, yes, bhop is something that should be added since its a common term now, fly and speed).
EDIT: Keeping /kick, / bans and such is still a good idea but the same concept above should be applied
REPORT SYSTEM
(the system I suggested above should also apply to /report)
Getting hopped on arena is obviously a pain in the ass since you can't just get the hacker on someone else like on meetup and I feel like being able to "quick report" would make things easier, you would use /qr s (stands for speed), k (stands for kill aura) etc that would automatically report your opponent. In team fights games it would be /qr s first 1-2 letters of the cheaters name and the server automatically recognizes the name
Badlion is "entering a new era" and how reports looks like to staff has been the same forever and I have a few good ideas that would improve dealing with reports.

If you click on archy's name it automatically summons you to their server and teleports to them. If the user gets reported 2 times (and so on) there's [x2] (light yellow, from and after 3x it becomes red) after "killaura". If the reporter gets a certain amount of reports accepted (as in the guy they report gets banned) they become "trusted" and their name would be Saimo (gold) when they report. Player council / special ranks / retired staff members are gold by default.
NEW CHAT REPORT SYSTEM
Doing /chatreport (or /cr) IGN automatically creates a chatlog on the website revealing the last 20 messages the user put in public chat, along with every PM they sent to who reported them (It would also show what the reporter sent them so staff know context etc) in the past 5 minutes. The idea here is that players are either too dumb to take a proper screenshot for evidence or too smart and end up forging false evidence. GUI wise staff would see each chat report as a paper, clicking on it gets you to a GUI, one item (a sign would fit I guess) gets you to the chatlog by clicking on it and another item (a diamond axe I guess *ban hammer*) gets you to /punish. This is to avoid confusion, if the punishment was issued by clicking on the axe the chatlog will be linked to that specific punishment and clicking on someones punishment reason would bring you to the chatlog that got them punished (if that happens the chatlog will have a "dealt with" mark on it so that people can't post chatlogs on the forums to get someone punished for the same offence multiple times)
One last thing that would improve the system would be being noticed when reports are successful, that would also be a thing when you log out and log in later
That's all for now, I will edit / add stuff whenever.

Everything else looks fairly solid. Personally, I don't think the report message needs to be worked on, but it would be awesome to see new ban reasons and such.

I do like this idea. But, I myself prefer the way we have it now. And I believe something is being worked on right now too regarding this. However I prefer to have to have separate commands for banning, muting and kicking, but that's just my opinion.

I wouldn't mind seeing this as a feature, so why not.

I like the first part, it's not necessary but I would not mind seeing new colors to the report messages. Also the last part where you suggest "trusted" people aren't necessary either, and not really a priority. But again, I wouldn't mind seeing it as a feature and it sounds nice.

I really like this suggestion. However I'd love to be able to toggle it. It may get annoying if you accidentally click on it while you're in a match for example.

Great suggestion, I would love seeing this as a feature. It's really simple and would make reporting chat offenses a lot easier for players.

If things are organized well (divided by colored glass) there's really no way of misclicking from bans to mutes etc

I'm pretty sure there will be something new in the ban/mute GUI soon. I also like the Chat Report suggestion, it would be really good.Posted on 02 September 2017 - 08:18 PM
Really good ideas. People who have good judgement when it comes to reporting hackers get overshadowed by players who have poor experience in knowing a cheater from a legit person.Posted on 02 September 2017 - 08:52 PM

Steally perfectly said what I was thinking.Posted on 02 September 2017 - 11:24 PM
Indeed a +1.Already thought about some of these, but never had a chance to offer them on here.
Also, I like the ideas I haven't thought about too.
Some ideas seems really cool like the "trusted" players. Kind of reminds the Anticheat Badge with BAC.
Thanks!

i get ddos threats a lot bc my skin/name/no cape make me look like a hacking rando, so its cool to be able to report and have mods look at logs bc im too lazy to make a forum report
