Adjustments to clans
Limited players: I used to be against this idea but recently I changed my mind about it. There should be a limit to how many players you can have in a clan 15-20. This would force clan leaders to be more selective with whom they recruit. Maybe there can also be a seperate "subs" section for 2-3 people if anyone in the clan leaves they would be a replacement.
A lot of new clans would most likely be created and small/new clans would have a higher chance of getting to the top.
More clans=more competition=more people looking for clan wars

Cooldown: Simple idea to prevent people who often change clans or who join a clan just before a cw and leave right after. Atleast a 48h cooldown between clans

Elo system: There could be a seperate leaderboards and queues for clans where they can form a team of 5 with the players on their forums and queue other clans. Kind of like normal ranked 5v5s but seperate leaderboards, you don't restart at 1400 everytime you change players and it says the clan name instead if the players in it when you start a match or on lb.

Clan war/duel system: One of the problems with clans is that noone does clan wars they prefer scrims. Everyone is scared to have a loss on their forum page. By turning cws to something simple and can be done easily on a daily basis we can solve this.

There would be 2 commands
/scrim [clan name or party leader name] and
/cw [ clan name or party leader name]
You would be able to choose the amount of kits, how many players will be playing simultaniously and how many times each kit will be played on a menu
Even if there is 1 player in the party that is not in the clan this wouldn't work.
The amount of players in the party doesnt matter and doesnt have to be equal on both sides
At the start of every match the leader would be able to choose which players to send out.
Any player in the clan could be invited to the clan at anytime of the clan war and play the next round.
After the clan war the results would go on the clan page where it says "stats" and is not used or on a different section with maybe if clicked on shows more information about the cw like which clan won which rounds with which line up. Scrims would be the same but they would not go on the page

Limit: -1
Clans shouldn't be like Teams
Clans should be Communities
Teams should have limited Rosters
Communities shouldn't have limits

Clan war/duel system: -1
Clan Wars arent official competition
Tournaments are official competition
Teams play Tournaments
All 5v5 Arena between Clans are scrims / practice
Clans aren't Teams, Clans are Communities

Elo system: -1
Clans shouldn't be like Teams
Clans should be Communities

Cooldown: -1
Would be good if Clans = Teams
But…
Clans shouldn't be like Teams
Clans should be Communities
Teams should have Cool Downs

I kinda like it but I don't like the limit to clans. Clans would just divide into 2 and work around it. clans such as ominous are a community, it would be destroyed by having it limited to 20 members. but I like the rest

I dont get the problem with the clan war system why should clan wars not be official and why should a clan be a community?

Im trying to explain it as simply as possible:
FaZe has a Clan with YTers and Comp players of different games, its a community
FaZe also has Teams, which does the official competition
FaZe Rain does not play competitive scrims and tournaments for FaZe,
FaZe Rain is in the Clan, not the Team

Clans trying to be Teams has failed for the past 2 years and never will work unless Badlion make official systems like you suggest
However, if they do that they are going against their own path for competitive minecraft, which is reliant on Teams playing Competitive gamemodes (CTF, CTW, Domination) and not Clans playing Arena 5v5 and calling it "official"

Building a community doesn't work when you have such a small playerbase that is part of the competitive scene. That is why clans have been dead for years because only a few clans were big enough to form a community. The name doesnt matter you can change every "clan" I have said to "Team" and have a offical site and I would be fine. There is no problem with keeping "team" wars official. Sure tournaments are more formal and as you said official but there is no harm in adding these features. As I see it these comments are the cause of your grudge against arena and about the cooldown, how does hopping from a community to another and to another make any kind of sense?

They are called Clans for a reason, and there is a big difference in the fact that Teams have a roster limit, whereas Clans do not

As for "team / clan wars", that is Arena and is against what Badlion wants for competitive, so why would they add the system instead of promoting teams and the 5v5 Competitive gamemodes

I have never had a grudge over Arena, I have a grudge over 5v5 Arena and people who say they want competitive minecraft yet think Arena is competitive

The comments made are because Clans are not Teams as I repeated multiple times, and the fact that other clan Leaders see them as Teams and not a community is why clans eventually die out and worsens the community to where it is today

Also a clan doesn't need to be massive to form a community, look at Aura. Not a massive clan but still a nice community of skilled Badlion players

As for the cooldown thing as well, If you leave a community you can still join the other community, just it wont display that on the forums for a little while

If they are teams this is very different, as you actually are competing and you shouldn't be allowed to play with a team you only just joined as that is team hopping

So you are saying that clans should't have anything to do with arena?
