Try reducing your FOV; I don't really know what else to say other than just practice.

tbh i prefer quake pro with high ping because it looks quite difficult to rod at lower fov (with high ping) but it feels much more better for me when i play with quake pro
by high ping i mean like 240ms lol
Yes, in a way you're not wrong. Higher FOV does seem to mitigate the effect of high ping, but I still feel lower FOV is better in this case.
