Hello! So, I know that some of you guys go to look at the leaderboards here and see that someone has, let's say, 2000 elo, and when you click their profile, it shows you that instead of them being 2000 elo, they are Gold 1, which uses the system from S14. Most people might not know what these actually mean, so I am making this thread to inform those that don't.
Firstly, I don't think I will be talking about Qualifying and below because I do not have enough information to give you details, so I will focus on Silver 5 and up.
So, as Silver 5 being the first rating with normal players about 1400 elo, I will talk about that first. Silver 5 ranges from 1400-1405 (5 elo points), which means that each point of elo accounts for 200 points in S14 rating.
Next, I found that Silver 4 is different than Silver 5. Silver 4 ranges from 1405-1425 (20 elo points), which means that each point of elo accounts for 50 points in S14 rating.
Now, I know that at this point, you guys are concerned that each rating after the next (Silver 3, Silver 2, etc.) will be different, but this will come as a relief. For Silver 3 and up, each one has a range of 75 elo, which means that each elo point on will account for about 13.3 points in S14 rating.
For those that want to know what ELO ranges account for in the leaderboards to the player profile, here you go:
Silver 5: 1400-1405
Silver 4: 1405-1425
Silver 3: 1425-1500
Silver 2: 1500-1575
Silver 1: 1575-1650
Gold 5: 1650-1725
Gold 4: 1725-1800
Gold 3: 1800-1875
Gold 2: 1875-1950
Gold 1: 1950-2025
Emerald 5: 2025-2100
Emerald 4: 2100-2175
Emerald 3: 2175-2250
Emerald 2: 2250-2325
Emerald 1: 2325-2400
Diamond 5: 2400-2475
Diamond 4: 2475-2550
Diamond 3: 2550-2625
