[Tourney] More FFA tournaments + New weekly comp??

Not sure if there's a lot of interest for this, but I'd love to see a few more FFA tournaments throughout the year. I feel like the majority of tournaments are team based, and there isn't a great deal of FFAs. If you play solo and you've got a game mode that you enjoy and you see there's a tournament coming you'd be hyped, only to be disappointed when it's a to4/to3. Getting a team together for a tournament can be difficult especially if across different time zones and have different commitments. As someone who loves build, I was disappointed to see the upcoming build tournament is a to2. So I can't play unless I get a team-mate. It wouldn't be very difficult to do, but it'd be a lot easier for entrants if they don't have to worry about anyone other than themselves.Another idea that would be cool, is to introduce a weekend FFA comp for a random ranked ladder. Have people sign-up during the week and then maybe host a qualifying section on the saturday and then a knockout on the sunday for those who qualify. And give ranks for prizes to those who win/come runner-up. This would require a lot of effort, but if Badlion wants to really push for the competitive PvP image I feel it would be good to get a few more tournaments going on. Not really sure if the weekly comp would be feasible, but just a thought.
Not going to ramble anymore because I don't wanna bore anyone.
Appreciate any feedback!

Nice suggestions on the whole. A few FFA tourneys wouldn't hurt. I don't think weekly tournaments with prizes are sustainable however I don't see why some unofficial ones can't be run. Would like to see some of the new tourney staff try and run a little league of sorts.Posted on 19 September 2017 - 02:17 PM
Yeah I thought the Weekly comps could be difficult to do, but thought I'd throw the idea out there. Maybe have it as a monthly feature?? Prizes could be small, but just something to keep the average player practicing towards maybe.
