Being able to only play against players who have low ping for an easier fight has no effect on actual gameplay? Huh?

A feature does not have to "guarantee wins" in order for it to be P2W.

You are digging yourself a deeper hole, have you never fought a lagger, assuming you have, I'm sure when you lose you blame it on the lag, which is a fair excuse often. Eliminating that aspect of dumb losses is an advantage

Playing badlion with non-donator is like playing Clash of Clans as a free player, you can play it sure, but how far you can get if you are actually a good player? Not very farPosted on 28 September 2017 - 08:17 PM

It doesn't give an advantage to the player you're fighting, that's not the point. The point is that a Lion+ player will be able to have easier and more fair fights by selecting a reasonable max ping than a non-Lion+ player would. I'm sure you have heard players constantly complaining about how they have to fight people with high ping because it's unfair, right? This feature would eliminate the problem entirely for Lion+ players, making their fights more "fair", and therefore easier to win.

You seem to be missing the point. The reason OP was claiming this feature could be P2W is because a Lion+ player could only play in 50 ping "fair" matches, whereas a non-donor player would still be forced to play against laggers who make the fight "unfair". Sure it is fair for the two Lion+ players who are going against each other, but that is besides the point entirely.
Being able to set a limit of your opponent's ping does not give you any direct advantage over the other player, like a hacked client would. The fight is still 100% fair for both people. All the feature does is allow a Lion+ player to play games against similar opponents. Its similar to how a donor has unlimited ranked matches while a non-donor doesn't. Yes, it allows someone to have a better chance to improve, but it does not provide any unfair advantage over someone else.

Irrelevant point, what other servers are doing or selling has no relation to Badlion or this thread.
It does quite a bit actually, Badlion and Hypixel have been for years one of the very few servers that's financially self sustaining without breaking Mojang's eula. The community shouldn't say Badlion is p2w because of some minor feature that if anything makes ranked fights more fair.

you are pretty right on that
but its not truly pay to win in my opinion… not crossing the line yet
ultimately yes free players will have a worse experience trying to climb a ladder than a lion plus player but the lion plus player is still going to struggle
laggers are just one conflict out of many

If I was getting fucked by someone with 90+ ping and had Lion+ and chose to cap it at 50 or 75 then I'm basically buying my way out of queueing that person, no? Maybe I'll get higher rating because I don't queue that person and have a lower chance at being drained. Opinions?
If that scenario was true how in the world would you know he has 90 ping?

If you're not retarded you can guess how much ping they have and block ~ their ping and if you queue them again you lower it? So complicated dude

You're actually stupid there's like no difference between a player that has 90 ms to one with 100 or 75 ms so you'll have to fight him much times exactly know his ping and there's much variables for example the first time I fight him he's downloading some stuff and he has approximately 120 ms after that he's done downloading so he got a lower ping lets say 50 ms. So what happens ? you're against him again.

The command lets you block ping in intervals of 25 so if I think someone has 90 ping I'll try to block 75+ ms first and if they have 60 or something I'll block 50+ ms since you're fucking retarded and try to tell me stupid for understanding such a basic concept of trial and error
