Why are players with "Inappropriate Names/Banners" banned? It doesn't really make sense to me. If Mojang allows people to buy those names, let them use them as they chose on the Badlion Network. Is it really Badlion's job to keep inappropriate names/banners off of the server? They aren't harming anybody at all. A name is just a name. It's kinda like jailing someone with the name "Dick" because their name is "inappropriate" and refers to a sexual body part. Doesn't make much sense. For the first time, I agree with Cavasi. You guys say that someone "pussied out from LMS", yet if someone's name was pussy, they's get banned. For instance, I have the alt "BigBootyDickCock", but refuse to log onto BL with it for fear of being IP banned.Posted on 24 December 2014 - 09:58 PM

It's simply not age appropriate. As cringiecake said, there are younger children who play here, and it's simply not okay to have such names on the server.And you're not going to be IP banned for having an alternate account with an inappropriate name.

LOL I'm 12, play (or used to at least) on this server constantly, and I've never seen anything that offended me in any way. Can't speak for all kids but maybe just give them a warning and advise them to use an alt.Posted on 25 December 2014 - 12:27 AM
This is a public community, but with any community, it has it's rules. If we weren't to moderate the inappropriate names/banners, we shouldn't moderate the inappropriate behavior on our server either. They're all of the same. Badlion tries to provide the best experience for it's players, and this includes a safe, appropriate environment for our players.Edit:
I'll clarify what I mean.
We'll mute somebody for saying an inappropriate, racist term. If somebody logs onto the server with their username as that inappropriate, racist term, it doesn't matter if we mute them. Their username is still public, and we can't do anything about that. It's only fair that we enforce the other if we enforce one.

But if it's to protect the younger children in this community, we should ban players for saying "Fuck" and "Ass" and instead of muting them for calling someone a fag, we should just ban them.@Morsinius @crigniecake

All other servers that don't still moderate inappropriate behavior without banning people with dicks on their banners & weird names in their names. That's your opinion. It wouldn't make sense to moderate our population's behavior, but allow those inappropriate, illegal titles as their usernames. If they want to buy an immature username, we don't care. They just can't play on Badlion while using that aliases.

I understand banning people with nudity/pornography on their skins and capes, but I'm kinda confused as to why you'd have something like 'pussied out of lms' coded into the plugin and you wouldn't let people with the same types of words in their username play on the server.At the very least, you could ask them to use a /nick whenever they play on the server
