Nowadays bowing is frowned upon in the hardcore uhc community, and all everyone seems to do is sword rush. Whenever I'm in duels and start off bowing, a lot of the time the other person just kills themselves. I mean, bowing used to be important. Of course we all know the 1v1 of the ages, and most of that fight was just bowing. Back in the reddit days it was literally just snipes from far far away. Nowadays people only bow like five blocks away when they are sweating or losing, not like "oh i think this is fun lets bow". I get that the border shrinks have made bowing pretty much nonexistant in the final matches, but it seems that no one really respects it anymore. I used to hate bowspammers, but now I'm like sure whatever I'll bow when I want to. If I get destroyed in bow well that's my problem. Besides I don't really have the frames to melee well, so becoming a bow god is a feasible alternative.Posted on 04 October 2017 - 11:56 PM

It's understandable why people find bowspammers annoying, especially in a situation where a player doesn't need to bow. If you prefer melee exchanges and can't bow for your life, it's no fun. But that being said, I agree that it's not fair to look down upon bow-based players and deem them 'sweaty'. Not only does bowing take just as much skill as melee, but in many situations it's just as important. You don't see players complain about 'swordspammers' in no debuff, so why complain about bowspammers in let's say iron where the sword is considered a secondary? It's mainly annoying to people because it isn't a quick fight, but rather a drawn out defensive war that is considered long and therefore boring. But, I personally like bowing and don't mind when someone does it to me.Posted on 05 October 2017 - 02:27 PM

I like bowing just to drain absorption hearts then I rush melee or when I fight a cheater, Bow is part of builduhc and people that can't stand bowing should quit that's coming from someone that has sliver 3 in archer.Posted on 06 October 2017 - 02:00 PM
