In the past, ranked 2v2's was a very popular gamemode because people would grind Elo with their buddies or people they just met on the server. But for those who didn't have many friends in-game or got ignored in the chat, they couldn't really play 2v2's with anyone. This is still an issue today, for me as well.

I was thinking of a way to implement a sort of "queue" for 2v2's, similar to ranked 1v1's where those who were waiting in the queue would get matched up with a randomized teammate who had a similar Elo count (including an elo amount for each individual team may be much more convenient so there aren't any mismatches or huge differences in skill among the teammates), and another team to fight. Similar to S13&14, there could be a separate tab in the ranked 1v1 section (right clicking the diamond sword) where you could select a kit to queue up for a ranked 2v2 match.

This feature would make it much more convenient for those who don't really want to play unranked 1v1's or ranked 1v1's, and just want to grind 2v2 Elo to increase their rank on the leaderboards but have no one to play with. Another way this system could be helpful, is if the people that are matched up as teammates like playing together/have good teamwork, they wouldn't have to enter the queue and risk getting a random teammate instead of the person they want to play with so players can just make a party after playing with a teammate they like.

I'm not sure if this is a feature that is possible to add into S15, nor am I positive the staff will even consider it, but it would make 2v2's much more playable for everyone.

I really like the concept, you would be able to meet new friends and play together with people, although I doubt it will be done and at least not something developers will prioritize. But I would love to see this, +1!

I've been wanting to see a Rocket league styled random 2V2 option for ages. I think it would work well and help increase the amount of people playing. Deffo would be good to see!
