Alright so I've kinda noticed this happening a lot more recently, I know Staff applications are open so that's a start but I really think this should be implemented. GBerry and Archy have both made it perfectly clear that the new modification to GCheat is 100% reliable and that nothing can go wrong finding these hackers, in fact you have put so much confidence into it that anyone that tries to say otherwise you just humiliate publicly and deny any appeals made by them, so I thought with the lack of staff coming on Soup pvp(Sometimes Potion) the plugin GCheat could have a counterpart to crosscheck the list of people suspected(Confirmed) of autoclicking in the logs with people online and ban them, I would never suggest this for another server as hack-detecting systems are complete trash, but seeing as this server has a good one, why not add it? Comment your thoughts below.Posted on 26 December 2014 - 06:16 AM
I'm pretty sure they said they'd be evolving it to the point where it can make reliable auto bans and then rolling it out on the servers.I can't necessarily seem to poke any holes in their plan, but I have my doubts. Anything can produce false positives.

As Hivlik said, it is kind of hard to nitpick what they said, but someone lagging could maybe just MAYBE trigger a cheat detection flag on GCheat and get auto-banned while Archy and Gberry think it is completely reliable and humiliate them and never accept their ban appeal even though they did nothing wrong. But then again, Gberry claims the plugin can detect if you are lagging or not, so this could be a good idea.Posted on 26 December 2014 - 07:14 AM

There is a feature of the plugin that classes the hacks into "levels" of severity, if a player were lagging it would possibly be an 'A" severity level, meaning it could be a low-key autoclicker or just lag, these types of warnings could be handled by the staff, but "B" and 'C" level warnings would be impossible to accomplish without the use of an autoclicker, meaning it would be efficient for the GCheat plugin to just auto-ban them with a preset message defining the case, it would also be part of a website adjustment so that console bans would show up in "Punishments".

The autoclicker detection is susceptible to a rare false positive here and there only due to lag, it is not susceptible to 30+ over the span of a time of like 10 minutes (the server would kick you for lag related stuff way before this).Automatic bans for autoclicker and speed hacks will be rolling out by the end of the year, and it'll work on a basis of thresholds. The threshold system is going to work like we would look at logs. Is that enough logs within a time period for a ban, yes or no?
The kill aura system will be a while longer before automatic bans roll out, and stuff like timer/regen hacks will probably never have automatic bans due to how they work and are detected.

Thanks for the update, Archy. Hopefully it will be added soon, good job Archy/Gberry.
