Tournament Delays
For a multitude of reasons, including gamemode and map development delays, the Domination tournament has been pushed back. As a result, the final Invitational tournament will be pushed back to the weekend of December 2nd. We pushed it back this far because of Minecon and Thanksgiving weekend in the US.
We regret these delays and apologize for any inconvenience. We will work more diligently with the Builders in future scheduling.

This tournament is the third of three Badlion Diamond Series qualifier tournaments, here is the link to now info regarding the Badlion Diamond Series tournaments. This tournament acts as a means for your team to gain access to the fourth and final invitational tournament with a $5000 prize pool.

During the tournament, the tournament staff use Discord to communicate with the teams. It's extremely important that you have access to the Badlion Tournament Discord, which is separate from the primary Badlion Discord. https://discord.gg/aCXttxT

We will be inviting the top 2 teams from each of the tournaments above and then reserving 2 additional spots to invite specially selected teams. If a single team places in the top 2 multiple times we will then shift down the position to 3rd place, 4th place, etc. if needed.

Map Selection & Vetoes
This will be our veto/map selection system:

A = Better Team
B = Worse Team

Best of 1 (if used):
Better seeded team vetoes first (A)
Worse seeded team vetoes second (B)
Worse seeded team vetoes third (B)
Better seeded team vetoes fourth (A)
Remaining map gets played

Best of 3:
Worse seeded team vetoes first (B)
Better seeded team vetoes second (A)
Better seeded team picks first map (A)
Worse seeded team picks second map (B)
Remaining map gets played third if needed

There will be no Best of 5.

Overview
Teams will be 5v5'ing using the Domination scrim servers. The amount of matches played each round will be determined based on how many players sign up.
The bracket is yet to be decided and depends upon sign-ups.
Domination is the newest gamemode released on Badlion and features intensive KoTH-style tactics and objectives.

Date and Time
The tournament will taking place over 2 days, the 4th and the 5th of November.

The first part of the tournament will be a Round Robin group stage, where every team will be playing matches throughout the day. It will take place on November 4th at 11:00 AM EST.

The second part of the tournament will be the bracket stage. It will begin with 8 teams, and will be set up in a Double Elimination format. It will take place on November 5th at 11:00 AM EST.

Sign-ups will close on November 2nd at 2:30 PM EST.

Sign-ups
This tournament, as well as the remaining qualifier tournaments, are all 5v5s. However, each team can have four substitutes.
Here are the rules for the Diamond Series rosters:

1. ROSTER LOCK: If a team qualifies for the invitationals in a Diamond Series Qualifier, all players who played for that team will be locked on that team's roster for any further tournaments they participate in.

2. If a team does not use a player during a qualifier in which they qualify for the invitationals, that team is free to participate without that player.

3. If a player who has already qualified for the invitationals plays with another team, that team is not eligible to qualify for the invitationals in that tournament.

4. If a team which has already qualified adds a new player, that player is not subject to our roster lock policy.

Server
This tournament will be played on the NA Domination lobbies. You can access the servers by connecting to na.badlion.net and then joining the Domiantion lobby.
Tournament staff will give further instruction in-game. You will be told to prepare, and you will be forced into matches.

Prizes
1st place - $650
2nd place - $250
3rd place - $100

Rules
In addition to the rules below, all Badlion rules apply during the tournament.

The following offenses may warrant a disqualification and or a ban from all Badlion Network servers without warning and will be harsher than those usually given out:

Usage of any unauthorized client modifications/hacked clients
Usage of any sort of external device that gives the player an unfair advantage over other players
Threatening, harassing, or bullying other players
Exploiting game-breaking plugin issues/abusing bugs
Failure to follow directions given by Tournament Staff
Any action that causes a disruption to the event
Any form of poor sportsmanship and/or disrespect, publicly or privately
Evading an IP ban (We will wait to issue the bans 5 minutes before the tournament starts)
If you do not follow the instructions given by a helper, you may be disqualified.
All competitors must be using BLC.

Rules and gameplay are subject to change
Rematches will be granted at the discretion of Tournament Advisers or Senior Tournament Staff in only certain situations.

Round information
This is subject to change until the start of the tournament based on signups.

On Saturday the 4th, we will run a Round Robin group stage. Teams will be divided into some number of (probably 4 or 8) groups of approximately even skill, and will have to play either Bo1's or Bo3's against each team in their group (depending on group size). At the end of the day, we will take the top 8 teams and advance them to the bracket stage.

On Sunday the 5th, we will run a Double Elimination Bo3 bracket stage. The top 8 teams will compete in a bracket, which will be seeded based on the results of their qualifier matches.

If the results of the tournament are not sufficient to determine the top 2 non-qualified teams, we will play an additional match at the end. This would be the case if 3 of the top 4 teams were ineligible to qualify, in which case the 5th placed team would advance to the invitational. Double Elimination, however, ends with a 5th place tie, so we would have to play a final Bo3 5th-place match.

This tournament DOES require users to use the Badlion Client.

2. Extremely excited for Group Stages + Double Elim Bo3
3. Delay is a bit annoying for the UK because of Bonfire night but should be fine everywhere else
4. A mini invitational qualifier for all the teams that don't qualify would be cool for final 2 places
