How to deal with hackers?
Unfortunately, as with pretty much all minecraft servers, hackers are present. However, in UHC, hackers deal much greater damage per time in-game, as one can entirely ruin one's past hour of constant gear gathering.

I've died to three hackers in the past week or so. Doesn't seem like a WHOLE lot, but remember, they matter more than hackers in a simple quick game of SG/Hunger Games.

I consider myself to be a relatively well-known pvper. Considering I've also been a high ranking staff member at a large community (MCSG) for multiple years, I can quite literally spot a hacker from three seconds of combat.

What's the best way to deal with hackers? Last time I contacted a staff member, I got a reply of "Yeah I received many reports about him, but don't have solid footage because he won't melee", or something close to that.

A stricter, tougher policy on hackers needs to be created and enforced. I'm overwhelmingly happy that the Badlion devs hold some of the most advanced anti-cheat (hence the wave of bans as of recent). Said policy needs to be completely zero tolerance. Hackers need to be afraid to hack in Badlion UHC.

Admittedly, I'm a bit on edge after just being killed by a melee hacker in the most recent UHC. (Got his name down).
Also, what's the best thing for players to do to put a dent in the hacker problem? Love to hear ideas!

/report, and if that does not work, /msg a staff member

also, if you die to the hacker and have the ability to spectate, try to record them hacking while in 3rd person(spectator mode).

MasterGBerry is one of the best coders I've seen, and has coded a plugin that can automatically detect any sort of cheat that is not client side, so ban waves have become a thing.

Like BizzyCrack said, use /report or record the hackers and post it @ the ban report sub-forum.
Also, we don't like to "spot a hacker from 3 seconds of combat" as we prefer to be 100% sure he's hacking before actually banning him, the staff member was correct in patiently waiting for solid evidence before actually banning the hacker.
If you do have any idea as to how a stricter policy can be implemented, we're all ears.
