I always thought it was strange that players who were honest and took a lot of time to make there appeals to get unbanned when they were false banned stay banned. But yet people who say they cheat get unbanned, I think that is unfair and makes the player look bad. Alsowithout any proof for us being banned besides your GCheat is not really fair, there is no way it is 100% accurate and we have no way to defend our selves and the only way is to lie and say we cheat. Anyone have thoughts on this?

People get unbanned when they admit because they are honest and we hope they do not continue to cheat. It's not about lying and saying you're not guilty when we know you are.In terms of proof, staff always have to have proof to ban someone. We always get the evidence we need and then ban the said players. GCheat logs are not something for anyone but admins to checks and they can easily tell if you were cheating or not. While GCheat may make a mistake every once in a while, we are safe to assume the system is very accurate.

If a GCheat ban is false, and the player claims it was false, then of course they get unbanned. Trust me when I say it, but the people who deny a GCheat appeal have proof in the form of GCheat logs that prove someone is cheating. If there is no definite proof that someone cheated, their appeal gets accepted by an admin who can tell. Simple. There is proof, but we're not allowed to show you that proof. In terms of effectiveness, this helps prevent hacked client developers from seeing what GCheat logs they've set off to help try to tweak their clients to become undetectable. This has a lasting long term effect that prevents the evolution of hacked clients.
And the only way your appeal is getting accepted is if you 100% didn't cheat or break any rules. For the most part, people usually lie about not cheating, hence why they stay banned.
I don't see anything wrong with the system.

for the most part gcheat is pretty accurate and has been getting more accurate with time. thousands and thousands of hours have been spent perfecting it. and as someone who had access to gcheat logs for well over a year i can tell you that for the most part it is pretty accurate. back in even the early days, we could see gcheat notifications in the chat and when we went to check out the player they were flagging, the probably was cheating a majority of the time. there were a few times when it was off but those issues have been fixed by now.Posted on 24 October 2017 - 09:59 PM

But if you know which players are hacking due to logs, why do you guys often respond to a report saying there isn't enough evidence? Although it may not look like the player is hacking, you could most certainly figure out due to logs.

If u got banned u could lowkey say "I never make kill aura inside badlion always again, please forgate me" and get unbannedPosted on 25 October 2017 - 04:11 AM
If we had more staff members, this wouldn't happenPosted on 25 October 2017 - 06:26 AM
So if I have no proof to appeal what should I do?Posted on 25 October 2017 - 07:35 AM

But, some admins can check more GCheat logs and see if someone is cheating befote they are banned for cheating.

GCheat doesn't really false ban. I only ever see really obvious people get banned by it and quite frankly I truly believe it's accurate. This is exactly why pleading guilty to show you're honesty and your wrong doing will make sure we give you a second chance.
Imo the system isn't wrong

I mean I set off GCheat a ton without cheating and its my personal opinion that the staff are biased and a little brainwashed because its not like any of the staff would believe I wasnt cheating or that my opinion matters.Posted on 26 October 2017 - 10:49 PM

You are wrong, simply the Console does not prohibit you by itself and if you do it is because you have had a modification in your game.
