What's a VPN?

So, recently I was banned for using a VPN, WHAT IS THAT!?I have no idea what it is….
Could someone possibly tell me what it is so I can somehow disable it? I really hate being banned, my appeal got denied already. And I have never used any hacks of some sort, I have no alts or anything.
Could someone really help me out here?

Virtual Private Network.Simple way to put it: It is a server you connect to that masks your IP and uses the server IP. Basically, when you use a free VPN, rather than a quality paid-for one, many people could have used the same IP as you, and hacked on it, and gotten themselves banned, linking YOU up to hackers.

Well that doesn't sounds good…. is there any way that I can be unbanned?

Appeal and apologize for using a VPN. Explain that you didn't, or, if you did, you did it unknowingly. A lot of accidental VPN bans have been appealed recently.Posted on 28 December 2014 - 09:10 PM

Ok, thanks! I will make another ban appeal explaining that the VPN wasn't my fault… and how can I disable it so I don't get banned again?

Can't help you there, but I'm sure they'll help you if you ask them in your ban appeal.
