Last edited on 02 December 2017 - 09:17 AM by Ny_
We'd like to briefly thank the tournament staff for their hard work with this tournament series, the community for their enthusiasm and dedication to the gamemodes, and our build team and streamers for helping us put on polished events. It's been enjoyable watching Badlion's competitive teams and community bring exciting competition to these 5v5 competitive gamemodes over the last few months. And now, we are proud to finally announce the event that everyone has been waiting for…

Gamemode Selection, Map Selection, and Vetoes
The 3 gamemodes will be played as a Bo3, and each gamemode will consist of a Bo3 of maps. We will be using the following system for gamemode and map selection:
(Assume Higher = Better seed and Lower = Worse seed)
For the gamemode order:
Higher seed picks 1st gamemode
Lower seed picks 2nd gamemode
(Last one played 3rd)
For the first selected gamemode:
Higher seed vetoes 1st map (1st GameMode)
Lower seed vetoes 2nd map (1st GM)
Lower seed picks 1st map (1st GM)
Higher seed picks 2nd map (1st GM)
(Last one played 3rd) (1st GM)
For the second selected gamemode:
Lower seed vetoes 1st map (2nd GameMode)
Higher seed vetoes 2nd map (2nd GM)
Higher seed picks 1st map (2nd GM)
Lower seed picks 2nd map (2nd GM)
(Last one played 3rd) (2nd GM)
For the third selected gamemode:
Higher seed vetoes 1st map (3rd GameMode)
Lower seed vetoes 2nd map (3rd GM)
Lower seed picks 1st map (3rd GM)
Higher seed picks 2nd map (3rd GM)
(Last one played 3rd) (3rd GM)
These vetoes will be done as needed - we will conduct each set of vetoes right before their respective gamemode, not all at the beginning of the series. For each veto or selection, teams will be told they have 30 seconds to make a decision, and if they are unable to reach one within 30 seconds, they will concede their pick to the other team.
^ Subject to change until Dec 2 ^
Discord Requirement
For the first time we will be requiring the use of our own tournament Discord for teams communication. Teams will be provided ranks before the tournament date and given private voice channels for communication. This will allow us to do the vetoing faster and more directly, it will improve communication channels between teams and tournament staff, and it will allow streamers to listen into channels to make the stream more interesting. It will also be better in that we will be able to monitor teams and prevent cheating (especially in the form of stream-watching).

Rules
In addition to the rules below, all Badlion Network rules apply during the tournament. Breaking these rules will result in harsher than usual punishments and possibly a tournament disqualification and/or a ban from all Badlion Network servers without warning
The following tournament-specific rules will be in effect:
In Game Rules & Conduct
-Failure to follow directions given by Tournament Staff will result in individual players and potentially teams being disqualified from the tournament.
-Purposefully causing disruption and/or delaying the event will result in individual players and potentially teams being disqualified from the tournament.
-Participants who attempt to play without Badlion Client without the explicit permission of an administrator will result in either a rematch or the disqualification of the team, subject to tournament staff discretion.
-Use of any Cosmetic features in a tournament match will result in us asking you to disable the feature, and will lead to the disqualification of individual players or their teams if it is a repeated problem.
Discord Rules
-Players must make every effort to remain in their designated Discord channel during the match.
-Individuals who are not actively participating in the match must remain muted in Discord during the match, even if they think they are likely to sub in. Helpers will force mute you if you violate this rule, and you and your team may be disqualified based on tournament staff discretion.

Rules and gameplay are subject to change
Rematches will be granted at the discretion of Tournament Advisors or Senior Tournament Staff in only certain situations.
Please note that client crashes are not justification for a full rematch unless Tournament Staff deem that it was a very significant and widespread network-wide issue.
